Hey all,
I have some questions regarding the Grid Widget in ThingWorx :
- Is there a way, in a Grid Widget, to adjust the text based on the cell Size. So if the text is too big to be contained in the cell, it'll make another line and keep the cell resolution ?
- Is there a way to, without creating a new Widget, to have in a single cell, a text and a clickable image ?
- Is there a way to remove the ability to scroll from the mouse and from the scrolling bar ?

Update: I've just tested with the html field datashape, and it seems to work as expected:
Hi, to answer all of your questions shortly, such functionalities are currently not available.
I will submit an enhancement request on your behalf during the US business hours and update this thread with the ticket numbers. Please keep in mind that the delivery of enhancement requests is not guaranteed and being prioritized according to the demand and the availability/workload of the R&D team. You may look into a custom extensibility, and developing a custom widget - let me know if you would like me to provide/point you to the documentation.
Thank you.
It would be great if you can provide me the documentation to create a custom extensibility.
Do you think for my second question, it would be possible to have in the datashape a HTML type field in which I could set a <p> and a <img> ?
Thank again,
Frederik Grondin
You may try the html idea as a potential workaround - I'm not entirely sure if the tags will all keep their proper function. Also, please note I've sent you a direct message.
For the extensibility, please see attached.

Hi Frederik,
If I understand well your first question, yes it's, use CellWrap to true and set column size to a fixed size.
For the second and third you are out of luck as Polina said.
Carles.
Thank you for the suggestion.
As for me, it does't work.
Hi Carles,
Could you please tell me how can hide left or right border of a column in Grid? Is it possible to hide column's border
Hi Rohit,
Currently there is no such option as a straight-forward "column border hiding". There is a potential workaround/suggestion. You may try to change the border color to match your background. As of right now you cannot do it through the styling functions of the platform (but there is a jira for it, PLATFORM-2702), you may modify the color manually in the <Tomcat>\webapps\Thingworx\Runtime\css\Combined<>.css within the .widget-dhxgrid .gridbox table.obj td { } element
Or you may look into extensibility and customization and tailor the widget functionality to your own preference. I'm attaching the guide on custom extensibility if you are interested. Here's where the grid widget is located (please make a copy before modifying):
<Tomcat path>\webapps\Thingworx\Common\thingworx\widgets
