The following enhancements have been made to Step Check:
A new Step Check mode called Auto Proceed is now available along with existing modes Recommended and Silent. The Auto Proceed mode configures Vuforia Vantage to automatically proceed during the respective step if Step Check has determined that step is in Pass state.
On the Step Check Dashboard and STEP CHECK tab, a new field titled Confidence is available that displays a numerical value for each step. These numerical values indicate the system’s current confidence of the Step Check performance. For more information, see Step Check Tab.
On the Step Check Dashboard and the STEP CHECK tab, review samples are now extended to include additional examples for review. Also, setting the state for one image automatically sets the state for all images from the same capture session that look visually similar.
Vuforia Vantage
iOS
A Scan QR Code button is available from the login page of Vuforia Vantage that initiates the camera and allows users to scan QR codes. This functionality follows the same flow as scanning a QR code using the native camera of the device.
If a Step Check step has been configured to use the Auto Proceed mode, it automatically progresses to the next step when a Pass state has been detected by Step Check. If the user interacts with Pass/Fail selections and/or overrides the system, the step will not automatically proceed.
Enhancements have been made to Model Target acquisition performance allowing for better recognition of large objects from closer distances.
Step feedback window has been enlarged to display more of the feedback image.
Auto Image Feedback quality has been enhanced for steps with Step Check.
Step Check “data capture” message that appeared at the beginning of a procedure has been removed.
When tracking is lost during the Step Check training, the instructional cards are now hidden and a message is displayed prompting the user to re-initialize tracking.
Android
OpenGL ES 2.0 support on Android is now deprecated; only OpenGL ES 3.0 and above will be supported for Android devices. Due to this, older Android devices (pre-2014) can no longer use Vuforia Vantage, but it should not impact officially supported devices listed on the Recommended Devices page in the Vuforia Developer Library.
