Is there a workaround for placing gifs into the 3D canvas ?

If for example an arrow that points in a certain direction to show the user the way to the next location. Currently i have 2D models of the arrows done from inventor and bring it over to creo to animate it, but lets say i wanted to use a gif of that same arrow animated in after effects, is there a workaround to get gifs to work in creo/Vuforia?

@AY2021S1 GIF plays good in 2D view(add as Resource-> Image) but not currently supported in 3D view.

Is there a workaround for this solution ? Is there another method to place moving images into vuforia ?
