Could you make sure if your user session is time out? Try to log out and log in again see if the issue persists?

Is this a PTC hosted instance (Trial or Commercial) or local instance?
If it is a PTC hosted instance (Commercial); I will suggest you to open a case with PTC for this issue.

If this is the hosted trial instance, try to login developer.thingworx.com and check your trial server status:
Try to Start Foundation Server and see if issue is gone.
