How can i create two attributes that are dependent to one another?

Hi all,

The idea is to create a new attribute that is read only until the value of the Default Trace Code Attribute is set to Serial Number. Once set to Serial Number the new attribute can be selected.

Did anyone try something similar?

I would be very interested in this also. Once an item is "Serialized", there are a number of additional items that need to be updated to make sure it is categorized properly.

There is no good way to do this out of the box in 10.2. In 11.1 cascading attributes are available where the value of one attribute will dictate the choices available for a related attribute.

Refer to the following 11.1 WHC topics:

Hi Lori,

For Windchill 11 this is the solution. Sadly we need it now for Windchill 10.2 so we need to find a solution in this situation.
