Issue with License Activation After PTC Website UI Change

Version: Windchill Risk and Reliability 13.0

Subject: License Recognition Issue After PTC Website UI Update

Case Description: After installing the newly issued license file, some modules that were previously available are no longer activated.

Detailed Description: I was previously using a license that included all modules. However, after the recent change to the license-related UI on the PTC website, the newly issued license no longer recognizes the Prediction, Weibull, and ALT modules, and therefore these modules are not activated.
Although the new license file contains entries for the Prediction module, the module does not appear when the program is launched. Suspecting it might be an issue with the FlexLM version, I updated to the latest version and ran the program again. However, the issue remains unresolved.

A prompt resolution to this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I have attached a screenshot to help illustrate the issue.

You should open up a case with PTC Tech support for an issue like this. It might be a few things but likely something they might need to fix on their end with license management.

The new license tool doesn't collect all of the "bundled" items into the license file like the old system did.  You will need to collect them all individually yourself, so they get included in the license file you're trying to generate.  When you're selecting the items to include in the license file, there are filters available to help reduce the list to just the items included in the bundle.  You still need to select all of the items yourself, but at least it helps reduce the list.  You will need the part number (EX: SPN-####-F-) of the primary ordered item to set the filter correctly.  If you have an old license file handy, you can use that to get the module listing.  Your new license file may simply be missing the features you need.

I opened a ticket with PTC regarding a similar issue as well.  I also verified that the license agreement for bundled items requires that you keep all the bundled items together on the same server.  Since the licensing tool doesn't keep all of the bundled items together for you, you have a chance of unintentionally violating your license agreement by separating the bundled items amongst different servers.  We have many license servers, and this change in the online tool makes moving licenses more challenging.
