What I would like to know is how to see what the path of the sourse folder (aka the location of object primary files).
I am looking at setting up a tool to copy the new files each night as a back up.
Anyone know how to see that location?

Everything is in the DB. Content files are in a vault on the filesystem only if you've configured vaulting, in which case, you'd know their location.
