Assembly Restructure

I want to create the sub-assembly from the main assembly which is available now.

I'm using Creo 7.0.4.0.I don't see any option to create the sub-assembly by selecting the components which i want to move to sub-assembly. Refer attached image.

Could you please suggest an efficient way to create the sub-assembly from the main assembly ?

One way to do this is as follows.

Save a copy of the assembly with a different name.

Open this renamed assembly and delete the components not needed/wanted.

This assumes that there are not component dependencies or assembly features that will fail, if that is the case then you will have to resolve those issues.

There is a Command, "Move to New Subassembly", available.  It is not found in the ribbon, but is in the RMB menu for me.  You can also use the command search to find it.  You will have to ungroup parts.

Since you have the "features" selected, you are not getting the RMB menu MOVE TO SUB-ASSY options.

You can't move a feature from one assembly to another.
