IFX counterbore pin holes - hole chart column for through hole diameter?

IFX counterbore pin holes - hole chart column for through hole diameter?

When creating a counterbore style pin hole with IFX, the software defaults the 'thru' diameter (labelled 'counterbore diameter' in the UI) to 1/2 of the nominal pin diameter.  Our manufacturing standard requires a different diameter - is there a hole chart column that can be used to drive this dimension to a specific value so that the user doesn't have to manually change it every time?

We have tested with the known hole chart columns and none seem to work.

We are currently running Creo Parametric 10.0.5.0.

Hi,

this is not possible right now.

As you already have figured out, the diameter is set to 1/2 of pin diameter.

But I think this is a good idea.

I will add this as an enhancement request.

Where do you think is the best place to add this information?

  • pin fastener data file (*.dat)
  • in the hole file (*.hol)
  • pin configuration file (ifx_pin_data.cfg)

Thanks for the confirmation, Oliver.

From my perspective, the .hol file would be the most intuitive place to define this.
