Anyone else confronting the problem where there is no HPGL/2 driver available for win7 and so the creo adapter for solidworks is unable to generate creo viewables of solidworks drawings?
I googled the topic and see that there are some 3rd parties that sell HPGL/2 drivers for win7 - I tried one but it didn't produce a fully acceptable output, etc.
Does anyone know if HP has since released an hpgl/2 driver for win7? I spent time on HP site but just became confused because drivers that seemed promising didn't work,etc..
thanks for any comments people have on this..

Adapter for SolidWorks on the Windows 7 Platform.
Applies To

Dassault SolidWorks 2010, 2011, 2012
Cause HP has not yet made available a usable HPGL printer driver for the Windows 7 platform, that
would enable SolidWorks and by extension, the Creo Elements/View Adapter for SolidWorks, to
create HPGL viewables.

Reported to R&D as SPR 2061986.
Will be addressed once HP has made a suitable HPGL/2 printer driver available for this
purpose.
Workarounds:
Configure the Adapter for Solidworks on another supported 1. Windows platform.
Change the Adapter for SolidWorks Recipe settings to generate PDF viewables
instead.
