template file path for importing step/iges file

I am trying to open a STEP file using a template, as shown in the attached image.

It works fine initially, but if I close Creo and reopen it, the template file changes. Could you please suggest a solution?

The default import templates are set by the template_designasm and template_solidpart config.pro settings. However, keep in mind that this also changes the default templates that are selected when you select File New. You may wish to set force_new_file_options_dialog to YES to force users to pick an appropriate template in the File New menu.

It will always revert to the file specified in your config file when you restart Creo.  To make a permanent change you will need to update your config.pro.

There is always more to learn in Creo.
