Drawing synchronization to a text file or oracle

I'm sure everyone here has had to compare their BOM to the ordering BOM of
some database like MRP. In the past I've used a Jlink app to synchronize
BOMs from the drawings. The info went to a server that connected to the
database.

Is there any such App that can compare to Agile? or maybe even just a
simple text file? It doesn't even have to be a jlink app Anything, even an
Excel function would be great.

we have "find number" "part number" "description" "revision" and "Quantity"
that we want to compare.

Does anyone have a tool that can do this or knows of a tool I can buy to do
this? No PDMlink here, just plain old drawing BOM.

regards,

Alfonso

I use Pro/Eyeball 🙂

I think it has been migrated to Creo Visual Element Solution.

Funny, I use Pro/Highlight. It occasionally runs out to ink but we have an endless supply of yellow, pink, green, blue, purple...

Honestly, I do it in EXCEL. Import one and sort it. Import the other and sort it and then look for the places that are different.
Still a manual process...

Arg!, I'm going to have to create some sort of script for this. I've done
other similar things, but there seems to be no way to "fix index" using
Jlink. At least not in WF2. You can set text of a table, but I don't know
how that reflects on to a repeat region.

All:

I have a newer user that needs some buttons on his sketcher toolbar.
But.. When I'm in sketcher, Commands... and Toolbars... are gray. Tools
"Customize Screen" is also gray. So my question is: How do I add buttons
to the sketcher toolbar so I can save in config.win. The buttons he is
missing are: "Sketch View" and "Modify References" This is Wildfire 3.
Thanks in advance, you guys always come thru.

Well, Examdiff does a wonderful job at comparing two text files.

Pro/Eyeball has been discontinued as it is not compatible with PDMLink 😉

I recently ran into this portable program.

WinMerge

It works great for comparing text files.
