Object structure in windchill for check-in using toolkit

Hi

If I have part file open into Creo and I need to do check in of same in windchill using toolkit, we should use API something like proservercheckin().. does this API do check in into windchill even if there is no object created into windchill...?

Query is that do we need to create some object structure into windchill before using API to check in part file ?

Yes you can, make sure the WS has a Default Check In Folder or the Toolkit option was set. You may want to check the default attributes given by Windchill in each object you want to check in.
