I don't have a customer number or SCN, just a web account to manage my license.
I have a version of Mathcad 14, I know it's old, but it works for what I do.
My problem is reinstalling it on a new Windows 11 Laptop. It is on my Windows 10 Laptop but after a Windows update the operating system failed and is irreparable.
The link I had to the Single User License is:
https://support.ptc.com/appserver/lm/mathcad/call_logger/callLogger.jsp, and it worked but after entering the product code I get this error message:
Invalid parameter values have been passed in. The application cannot continue.
I couldn't log a case from that screen as well.
From what I'm reading MathCad license retrieval may no longer be supported. I May have to abandon it and go to Smath Studio or some other program.
Hi RobertSchmitz,
Thank you for your question. Your post appears well documented but has not yet received any response. I am replying to raise awareness. Hopefully, another community member will be able to help.

Hi Andrew,
I should think that this is a kind of posting where not users of Prime, but PTC employees should step in and help the OP with transferring the license if possible.

I agree. see above. Thanks.
Thanks for getting back to me.
From what I've read PTC stop supporting licensing for reinstalled Mathcad 14 on a new PC.
I have 3 HP laptops. The oldest runs a Windows 7 OS. It is slow but does have Mathcad 14 on it so I could go to it see my files and add new ones (not preferred).
The second PC was running Window 10 updated to Windows 11 but during an update crashed and made the OS unoperated. I moved all my files from the hard drive and was able to resurrect it by reinstalling Windows 11. This machine had a working license on it. Unfortunately, while installing Mathcad 14 and since it was an upgrade disk it asked me for a previous version which I didn't have (house cleaning).
On my newest laptop I was able to install version 14 and it didn't ask me for a previous version, strange. But I couldn't get a license.
I've had and used Mathcad since version 2 or 3, for many, many years. So, it's really disappointing I've been cut off from updating it.
I found that I could install Mathcad 14 on my newest laptop without an older product version number and I copied those files to my resurrected and set the registry entries but the license I had for that laptop no linger worked because by formatting that drive and reinstalling Windows 11 it changed the CPU Host ID, so that's a dead-end unless PTC .lets me update my license.
So the only working version I now have of Mathcad 14 is on a slow Windows 7 laptop. But one thing I was able to do was to setup a remote desktop connection so I can access it from newest laptop.
Hi @RobertSchmitz I'm trying to get some help on this. So far, I was referred to this Transferring Mathcad Single User or Student lice... - PTC Community but it references the same link you already tried, so trying to get some more guidance on this. I'll let you know what I hear back.
