I managed to get it to open by factory resetting my laptop and redownloading the software. I restarted for other reasons outside of Mathcad not working.

What version of Mathcad  are you using?

I am using the Prime 10.0.0 trial version Mathcad. I believe I have about 5 days left for the free trial
