Transferrting Software

Is there a way to transfer the software from one computer to another computer? I have upgraded to a new computer and would like to transfer the software.

You did not specify which version of MathCAD or MathCAD Prime you want to transfer. I believe all versions of MathCAD use the Windows registry so a transfer will not work. You need to install the software on your new computer.

You will also need a new license file, unless you are using a floating license from a server.

Student license or commercial license?

In either case, PTC no longer supports any MathCAD prior to MathCAD Prime 7.

You will need to contact the PTC license management team to see if they can generate a new license for your new computer.
