Call for Papers to PTC User in June! Deadline is November 28

Submit your presentation proposal before November 28, 2011, for PlanetPTC Live 2012, June 3-6 in Orlando!

PTC customers are currently being recruited to share their knowledge with the PTC community at PlanetPTC Live June 3-6, 2012, in Orlando, Florida. Presentation submissions will be accepted online through November 28, 2011.

Presentations selected for the event will receive complimentary conference passes, up to three per session.

Things to think about before submitting your presentation
  • Be interactive, this is a terrific opportunity to learn from your audience while they learn from you and each other
  • Reveal your curiosity and passion for the topic you are presenting
  • Do not use PowerPoint for PowerPoint’s sake – Mix it up, try out a different presentation style or format and get the audience excited
  • Do not depend on handouts – We post handouts online for participants to download. If you depend on and refer to handouts, you will be disappointed, and so will your audience. Cater to your audience. Think about who you want to attract and educate with your session, make it valuable to them and they will attend!

  • Explore a specific theme or process and highlight the approaches you can take by leveraging PTC solutions

Case Studies

  • Share your or your company’s story
  • Describe a challenge, process improvement or business issue you sought to solve

Session formats
  • Lecture with Demonstration: This session is a delivered lecture style with a heavy use of demonstrations to illustrate the topic being presented
  • Panel Discussion: Sessions provide a venue for two to three speakers to share their work on a perspective selected topic with the majority of the session time used to facilitate discussion with the audience
  • Presentation and Discussion: Share conceptual or methodological solutions using PTC products through a lecture followed by an interactive audience participation session

Please note that each session must allow for 10 minutes of question and answer.

Selection Criteria

All submissions will be reviewed and evaluated, with presentations selected based on the following criteria:

  • Completeness of the overall submission
  • Detail included in the abstract
  • Quality of the audience takeaways
  • Originality of the theme or topic
  • Level of session interactivity and diversity of presentation format
Obtain the necessary approval from your organization

Your participation in PlanetPTC Live will not only allow you to gain knowledge that will immediately benefit you and your team, it is an outstanding opportunity to showcase your organization’s market leadership and business innovation.

Industry leaders from across the U.S. and abroad, media analysts and other industry influencers are expected to attend PlanetPTC Live in 2012. By highlighting your unique initiatives and product development processes in front of these audiences, you will be broadcasting your successes in front of potential future customers in a credible and highly visible environment.

Demonstrate to your manager these benefits as well as your ability to proactively identify ways to increase company exposure and educate yourself on the latest industry innovations. Download this sample funding approval letter, customize it with your organization’s information and submit it to your manager at the beginning of your fiscal year, if possible.

Eligibility for the 2012 PlanetPTC Live Speaker Awards

Once you have been selected to present at PlanetPTC Live, you are eligible for one of the 2012 speaker awards! Speakers will be evaluated by session attendees on subject matter, presentation skill, audience interest and other criteria. Upon confirmation, you will receive more information on this program and the importance the community vote will play in the final decision!

Speaker award winners will be recognized at the 2012 PlanetPTC Live closing session.
