The double integral (your first error in the picture) is solved. The result is just too big to be displayed.

The solve for variables is badly formatted. You should just solve for a1 if that is what you need, so leave OFF the (a,b,x,y). You should just have

solve, a1

IF if, if a solution is found, it will be a function of a, b, x, y, q and D.

You can make that explicit by assigning the symbolic result to a function a1 of these variable, that is by writing:

a1(a,b,x,y,q,D) := <the double integral symbolic solve>

Also here be prepared that the solution may be too large to display...

PS: You had symbolically derived the function w(x,y,a1,a,b). Why did you redefine it without a1,and without pi in the arguments to the (co)sine functions before taking the double integral?

Apart from all that, it should be simple and solvable by Prime also (Maybe the new symbolic processor is spoiling the fun here). If I did not make a mistake, this is:

LucMeekes_0-1617282528539.png

Which gives:

LucMeekes_1-1617282553559.png

And then:

Two solutions, I assume the null solution can be discarded. That leaves:

can I have your file?

Sure, see above.

I wonder what the file looks like after conversion in/to Prime, so be sure to feed that back.

In my computer , have problem

The problem in Prime obviously is the fact that it cannot solve a1, unless a=b=D=0 for the obvious 0 solution.

Can you attach the Prime file?

Luc

Ah, missed that, yours is a Mathcad (15?) result. So Mupad cannot solve it.

To make sure, I've checked the solution (And realised that a1 isn't a function of x and y anymore):

LucMeekes_0-1617284215635.png

Does it help Mathcad 15 if you take out x and y from the arguments list to sol and a1?

I not yet convert to Prime
or maybe you want my original file

I have the original file, I want(ed) my file once it is converted to Prime.

But apparently you had opened it in Mathcad 15 so far...

Luc

Prime 7 conversion from Mathcad 11

I error upload again please download from my post

@LucMeekes  I convert to prime now she works well
Thank u so much

So please attach the Prime file. I want to see what it looks like.

@LucMeekes

I just add more variables it error, Have any method to solve that?

@LucMeekes plz send your file thank u

Luc,

Your file converted by Prime 7.0.

I have no idea . . .

Hi Fred,

Do you get symbolic solutions in this Prime file?

According to the OP all's well now, but both your and the OP's conversion show no symbolic results when I open the file (with Prime 7 Express).

Luc

Yes, Prime 7.0 (full for the next 8 days) shows symbolic results; it took it about a minute to display them.

Fred_Kohlhepp_0-1617287100639.png

The non-null solution for alpha1, however, is a constant.  If you look at the other post from this user, you can see that this vector is a simple calculation, that really doesn't need a symbolic solution:

Fred_Kohlhepp_1-1617287358100.png

(I wish people would stay with numeric solutions unless they absolutely MUST have a symbolic result!)

The poster (SPR_) wants to make his solution into a set of functions.  I can get part way there, but functions that create arrays still are very challenging.  (File is my start in Prime 4.)

Yes Fred
I have another propose  to make function with a and b

function can find coefficient of Galerkin's Method and predict variable depend on a and b however if i use old sheet i need time put one by one west time.

Thank u
