Help: Task 3–1: can't get variable subscript

I did a search on the beta forum to see if any other comments like this were posted and got none. Do subscripts work for everyone else?

Or is this the font issue that I saw with text?

Literal or numeric?

Literal is [CTRL][SHFT]-
Numeric is as before

I haven't had a problem getting suscripts of either type to work.

So what does MP1 do with the attached file?

What is the issue? There is a definition of the variable A as a vector, using the range variable i as an array subscript, and a very distinct definition of the variable Ai (using a literal subscript) as a simple string. Looks correct to me.

When I wrote the post that begins this thread, I was trying to do "Task 3�1: Defining and Evaluating Variables". After trying many times, I was not able to get variable subscripts. After downloading your file, I created a new one and tried variable subscripts. They now work.

Array subscripts have always worked in MP for me using [.
