Additionally you would have to rename the file(s) replacing the underline by a space and load the two data files "gsta.dat" and "Temp 7 Reconstructions-briffa.txt" from the link I posted to get it to work.
The function "extrema" has a vector as parameter and returns a nx2 matrix, possibly index and max value!? Not sure if absolute maxima or relative.
