How to paste Hebrew text to a Mathcad variable or string?

How to paste Hebrew text to a Mathcad variable or string?

I'm brushing up on my Mathcad Express skills by writing a Roman-to-Arabic number converter, and thought I'd try generalising it slightly to encompass similar sign-value systems (eg, apostrophus and extended subtractive Roman numbers, and Hebrew numerals).

Mathcad's Unicode range does, however, support Hebrew (and Japanese).  I can programmatically create Hebrew strings ...

... However, I'm having a problem trying to paste Hebrew text into either a variable name or (of particular interest) strings - nothing happens.  Text Box, no problem.

Hence, the title of this thread: how can I paste Hebrew text into a Mathcad string or variable name?

Stuart

Addendum:

This doesn't seem to be a problem for Japanese text.

I also note that several such number systems aren't possible to implement because Mathcad doesn't (yet?) support their Unicode ranges (eg, Egyptian hieroglyphics, Sumerian cuneiform, Ancient Greek, or Mayan).

I had no problems copying Hebrew characters from M$ charmap directly into a Prime string, nor experienced I any problems in creating a variable name from this string by deleting the quotes:

Sorry, I didn’t see your reply, at first, Werner because I was busily reporting that I’d also managed to paste Hebrew text as names and strings

Shame about the lack of Unicode Egyptian hieroglyphics.  I was quite looking forward to writing a 2D number using the “newline” character.  From Wikipedia:

Multiples of these values were expressed by repeating the symbol as many times as needed. For instance, a stone carving from Karnak shows the number 4,622 as:

𓆼𓆼𓆼𓆼
𓍢𓍢𓍢
𓍢𓍢𓍢
𓎆𓎆𓏺𓏺

Egyptian hieroglyphs could be written in both directions (and even vertically). In this example the symbols decrease in value from top to bottom and from left to right.

(I hit the Reply button 7 minutes after you did, apparently).

(I used A N Other application to create the hieroglyphic number, as it didn't paste very well from Wikipedia)

(Created in iPhone and PC)

A little bit more playing makes me think the problem might be related to similar issues that have popped up over time when Mathcad doesn't like certain characters being pasted into regions.  Werner ( @Werner_E ) posted an example recently in https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/Problem-Report-newline-character-no-longer-works-in-a-string/m-p/1035492/highlight/true#M218890.

I've managed to copy and paste constructed strings into Mathcad (after removing the quote marks😞

I've tried pasting the external text into the Find box, then copying it back again and pasting it; still no joy.
