License file contains version number 34.0. This license code enables you to use Creo 3.0 or lower. Creo 4.0 needs license with version number 35.0.

If you want to use Creo 4.0, then

  • move current license file from C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing somewhere else
  • launch setup.exe from Creo 4.0 installation media
  • enter BE410708EDSTUDENTEDK12 product code

Hi! I did not find somewhere else to contact you. I have tried everything for the installation, I have read all the possible problems and solutions there are. My problem is that the license file (.dat) is not recognized by the assistant. I select it and also put the installation code at the same time but it says: format not recognized and I can not click next. Thank you for your help.

Hi,

if you upload your license file I can check its contents.

Thanks for your answer. Attached the file.

Hi,

your license file is empty. This means it does not contain any license.

Indeed is what I thought, but I dont know where to download or find the correct license file. I even tried with older versions and to download everything many times but it is always the same. Can you attach me the correct student license file please ?

Hi,

  • uninstall all Creo items
  • remove Creo installation directory (if it still exists)
  • remove all files from C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing directory
  • check whether network cards installed in your computer are alive
  • launch setup.exe from unzipped Creo 4.0 media
  • enter Product code
  • login to PTC
  • finish installation
  • check if C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing directory contains non-empty license file

K-12       students can use Product code BE410708EDSTUDENTEDK12
University students can use Product code BK410705EDSTUDENTUNICL

To check whether network cards installed in your computer are alive, you can use following command entered in DOS prompt window.

ipconfig /all
