Initially ran Creo 1.0 on VMware Windows 7, worked perfectly fine. I recently upgraded computer now running Windows 7 Bootcamp.
I tried 3 methods all of which did not allow for the installation of Creo 1.0.
The first method I used was by registering an account for Creo 1.0 Students edition and followed this video http://www.ptc.com/view?im_dbkey=136331
to try and install Creo 1.0. I used the setup.exe program to install Creo 1.0 and the Creo 1.0 Schools edition product code NOT Creo 2.0 School Code that was attached in the email. It says it successfully generates a license file and when I proceed to choosing the applications to install, Creo Parametric is available BUT only Version 2 software is displayed. There is no Creo 1.0 software to choose from.
Second method was via the download website: http://www.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academicFree.jsp
I downloaded the Creo 1.0 DVD zip file and opened up to find that when I ran the 'setup' application within the folder, Windows File Explorer kept crashing. I tried this multiple times to no avail.
I also tried using the SAME dvd zip file for Creo 1.0 I used for my VMware setup.
This too caused my file explorer to crash
