ThingWatcher INITIALIZATION-FAILED

I am trying to set up the ThingWatcher on Ubuntu16. I keep getting the stage: "INITIALIZATION-FAILED".

I have tried the solutions on other similar topics but none of them work.

Hi

Seems your error is the one described at https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS270006 .

You can possibly apply the resolution that match your version

Hope this helps

Kind regards

Christophe

Hi,

I have some questions to help me better understand the issue:

  1. What version or ThingWatcher are you using?
  2. What version of ThingWorx are you using?
  3. Are there any errors in your log files that you could send?

Thanks,

John

Hi,

1. My Thing watcher version is 2.0.5 for training server and 2.0.3 for result server.

2. I am using TWx 8.2.1-b140.

I am following the Thing watcher guide on the developer portal. I actually solved my original issue by deleting the "rampValue" attribute and recreate a new one. Now i get a new problem where the training end with a "FAILED" result with 2 error in the application log.

Hi Bach,

1 other question, does it ever reach any of the other phases while it is running, like monitoring or calibrating or does it just say initialization-failed?

Thanks,

John

Hi,

I solved the Initialization-failed problem.

Now it goes through Initialized->Calibrating->Training->Failed

Hi,

Thank you very much. It works now.

Changing the file path in the "microservices.properties" file fixed it.

On Ubuntu 16.04:

file.storage.path=file:///opt/ThingWatcher/files
