Is Vuforia Studio free?

Who can help me tell if Vuforia Studio is free?

Yes, that is correct. When you have a server access to Experience Service - I mean you or your company has an official account there as dev /admin - , you can use also Vuforia Studio and Vuforia View app.

According license – every PTC app or PTC product  requires a licenses to specific customers agreement (business or trial/demo) – about the conditions and the terms of use – if your requires an official statement , please refer to the  PTC sales team - as mentioned - talk to AR following the link: https://trial.studio.vuforia.com/buy/

Hi @eyli ,

The Vuforia View is not free. Means it depends on the customer contract about the specific condition of the customers agreement.

But every user could participate on a trail period ( i believe 1 month but you can check the current ).

there is a form with an option "Talk to an AR Expert" where you  can receive more info about the possible conditions for this product.

As mentioned during the trial period you can use the software free of charge.

The product consist of

-local installation Vuforia Studio. Here you can create your project. The Vuforia Studio local installation will work also after the trial period. So means that you can develop /at least the AR part/ further in your local environment but after trial period you will be not able to share it with other people

- Vuforia view app to view the project - this is always free

-Experience service - it is required to be able to publish / to share the experience with other customer. This could be only free during the trial period

    Thanks for your great help.  Do you mean the local installation of Vuforia Studio will work but won't be able to upload experience to experience server after trial period?

    Yes, you will be able still to create, to develop and to test in preview mode your experience project (but without valid experience service URL - in the experience setting - you will be not able to connect data in the External data section). I believe also the local studio update will also works.

    Anyways the Studio local installation will be available  and you will  be able to plan to develop and to test in preview  (without external data) until you decide back to  purchase a Experience Service again, in case that you have some customer development project prospects
