Node.JS: Server-side Java Script Suspended

Hello Everyone!

A couple weeks ago the vuforia studio app mentioned there was an update available. So I went and proceeded with the update, and ever since then, my Vuforia will not open. I checked the task manager and noticed that 'Node.JS: Server-side Java Script Suspended.'

Even if I go into the resource monitor and resume it, the Vuforia App does not open. I only noticed this problem since the update.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling - in which the APP was able to load, only once with no issue, but the next day the same error message occured.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

  1. Which use is the owner of this node.js process ? I do apologize i do not know this
  2. Is it the user currently logged ? yes i used my proper credentials
  3. Are you using an anti virus on this workstation ? yes
  4. Do you reproduce the issue in various workstations ? no i installed it on another pc and seems to be working properly.
  5. Did you install Vuforia Studio with Administrator permissions in Windows ? yes, domain user and local admin accounts

I think I am all set for now, i did a clean install of windows on a different pc - and the program seems to be opening and functioning now.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hello,

  • Do you have something reported in Vuforia Studio log file ?
  • Do you something reported about Node.js in Windows Event log ?

More details here about how to look in this tool :

For the Windows Event Log - I do apologize, I could not specifically find anything with the Node.JS.

Please let me know if this info helps.

Thank you!

Hello,

I have some questions to investigate deeper :

  1. Which use is the owner of this node.js process ?
  2. Is it the user currently logged ?
  3. Are you using an anti virus on this workstation ?
  4. Do you reproduce the issue in various workstations ?
  5. Did you install Vuforia Studio with Administrator permissions in Windows ?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Best regards,

Samuel
