Bom Repeat Index in a Note

All,

Not sure if it's do-able. Can I make a note that reads:

1. Remove burrs from f/n (item) 3.

And have the "3" report from the bom?

From what I've been reading the answer is or was NO?

Hopefully I am explaining properly?

I don't believe you can use repeat region parameters (rpt.index) outside of the table and balloons.
