Hello,
I am using Creo 6.0 with my laptop connected to a dockingstation and it´s working fine. Ethernet and wireless. Both is working. If I disconnet the laptop from the dockingstation i get the attached error when I start Creo.
regards,
Marc
@MarcTUKL Check whether the below steps resolves the problem:-
Check whether the option Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power for the Ethernet Adapter LAN is disabled
I've tried that, but it doesn't change anything.

Hi,
maybe MAC address 98-E7-43-29-CF-E2 shown on the picture is related to docking station, only.
Tip:
1.] put laptop into dockingstation and run ipconfig /all > ip1.txt from Command prompt window
2.] disconnect laptop from dockingstation and run ipconfig /all > ip2.txt from Command prompt window
3.] compare contents of these files (you can upload them and I will check them...)
I've attached both pictures. Funnily enough, I can't find the MAC address on either one

Hi,
1.] please next time upload text files containing ipconfig output
I think you know that ipconfig /all > ip1.txt creates ip1.txt file in working directory.
2.] can you remember when and how you were connected to Internet ?
It is strange that MAC address 98-E7-43-29-CF-E2 was available during Creo installation and now it is not present. Did you disable some network card ?
The same Internet connection as now. But Creo works as long as the laptop is connected to the docking station, even though the MAC address is not correct. I have been thinking about reinstalling Creo. The question is, with or without a connection to the docking station?

Hi,
I digged text information from your pictures.
ipconfig_dockingstation.PNG
Ethernet-Adapter Ethernet ... 54-B2-03-95-94-87
Ethernet-Adapter Ethernet 2 ... 54-B2-03-95-94-88 ... CONNECTED
Drahtlos-LAN-Adapter WLAN ... 4C-EB-BD-32-DE-87
Drahtlos-LAN-Adapter LAN-Verbindung* 1 ... 4E-EB-BD-32-DE-87
Drahtlos-LAN-Adapter LAN-Verbindung* 2 ... 5E-EB-BD-32-DE-87
Mobiler Breitband Mobilfunk ... 94-9F-9B-58-52-5A
ipconfig_without_dockingstation.PNG
Ethernet-Adapter Ethernet ... 54-B2-03-95-94-87
... does not exist Ethernet-Adapter Ethernet 2
Drahtlos-LAN-Adapter WLAN ... 4C-EB-BD-32-DE-87 ... CONNECTED
Drahtlos-LAN-Adapter LAN-Verbindung* 1 ... 4E-EB-BD-32-DE-87
Drahtlos-LAN-Adapter LAN-Verbindung* 2 ... 5E-EB-BD-32-DE-87
Mobiler Breitband Mobilfunk ... 94-9F-9B-58-52-5A
I guess that Creo license is related to Ethernet-Adapter Ethernet 2 ... 54-B2-03-95-94-88 somehow.
... and Creo without docking station does not work, because this network card is missing.
Suggestion:
1.] disconnect laptop from docking station
2.] connect to Internet using Ethernet-Adapter Ethernet ... 54-B2-03-95-94-87
3.] disable all other network cards (ipconfig output will show only 1 network card)
4.] uninstall Creo
5.] remove license file from C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing directory
6.] install Creo ... you will license file related to 54-B2-03-95-94-87
Made according to the instructions, works!
Thanks a lot. Best and fastest support I ever had
Regards
Marc
