The Field Service Mobile 11.1.2 release includes a number of new features and defect corrects.  For complete information of changes in this release, please reference the (11.1.2) PTC Servigistics Field Service Management Mobile Client Release Notes document available under Support > Product Documentation on www.ptc.com.

Below is a partial list of the changes available with this release:

  • Support for iOS 9 and Android 5.1.x operating systems has been added with this release.
    • Note: Before upgrading to the iOS 9 operating system, make sure to verify the security configuration of your MIS servers meets the requirements for iOS 9 applications.  Reference Field Service Mobile and iOS 9 for more information
  • Defer Visit improvements.
    • As a field technician, you can defer or reschedule a ticket to a future appointment window. You can schedule the appointment window and set the requested time range.
    • When you defer an appointment on a ticket, the Mobile Client validates that the entered date and time is in the future and no longer allows deferring a ticket to a past date or time.
    • Parts and notes added to a ticket are sent to the Field Service Core application during the Defer Visit action.
  • Support for Parts Pickup Activities on the Mobile Client (requires Field Service Core version 11.1.3)
    • The 11.1.3 Field Service Core application introduces support for parts pickup activities that are scheduled to a technician’s route. Parts pickup activities that are scheduled in your route now appear on the itinerary screen of your mobile application.
    • Field Technicians can transition a Parts Pickup Activity through the state model to complete the scheduled activity and indicate the receipt of the requested parts.

Please note that users of the Field Service Mobile 10.7.8 version will not receive an automatic update to this new version.
