license renewal Creo10 - "Customer not verified"

Hello,

my creo10 university or educational license is about to expire in 5 days.

When I start up Creo on my desktop, I am offered the possibility to renew my license.

When I enter my username and password, I get the message "customer not verified", and there it stops.

I found info online that said I could manually delete the license file etc., but I am a bit reluctant since I do not know if that is the right way forward.

Can you please advise me what to do?

Kind regards,

Lukas Van Campenhout

Dear Vladimir,

thank your for your tip. I renewed my password, but that did not help.

I deleted the license file  in C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing, and copied it to directory Creo10_License.

Then, I installed Creo11, including the new license. The license installation was successful. The installation of CREO11 seemed to go well.

However, Creo11 did not start. I received the following message (see also attached content)

Then I had the idea to start up Creo10 again. To my surprise, it worked, without the message that the license would expire.

I also got an email with a .dat file. It contains the license data for CREO10. It tells that the new license will be available until 1 December 2025.

So, the renewal of the CREO10 license worked. But now I also have an installed version of CREO11, which does not work.

As long as CREO10 works, I am good. Should I uninstall CREO11? Or leave things as they are?

Kind regards,

Lukas
