No liscence

Hello,

I just recently signed up for the student version of Creo, and for some reason, I keep getting an error saying that the 'liscence isn't approved for this version". Can someone please tell me what it WOULD support, or where I would find it? Attached is a copy of the liscence that I got in the email when I downloaded it. First I got a 3.0 thing after downloading 5.0, then I tried again with 4.0 this time and this one also said 4.0.

Am I restricted to 3.0 only?

Hi,

your license file contains CREOPMA_SchoolSTD4 license (version 35.0) which enables you to launch Creo Parametric 4.0 (or lower version), not 5.0.

If you want to use Creo Parametric 5.0 then see my response on https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Academic-Program-Discussions/Creo-5-0-Student-License/m-p/571725#M10190 page.

So I got version 4.0 then, downloaded it and tried running it. Same issue. Now what?

Hi,

1.] You have valid license file sw_license_email_3683279.txt ... save it to some directory on your disk.

2.] Uninstall current Creo 4.0 installation

3.] During new Creo 4.0 installation do not enter Product Code, instead of it enter path to your license file into Source field ... see "red" field in my https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Academic-Program-Discussions/Can-t-get-license/m-p/271388#M4839 response.
