Streamlined, efficient, euphoric. Arc is a UK-based team that’s reimagining the future of adventure - creating high-end, luxury electric motorbikes, supported by PTC partner Root Solutions, part of the PDS Vision Group. Arc’s first product, the Vector, is an elite motorbike that pushes the boundaries of our imagination. As a brand-new project, it has no legacy to follow, so the team has had real creative freedom - going back to square one to design something truly unique. Just as every customer is different, every Vector will be unique as well. To find out how these bespoke machines are being crafted, our producer Hannah Dean visited Arc’s HQ in Coventry to meet the company’s founder, Mark Truman.

Multibody – Clearance & Creepage Analysis,   Hello all and welcome to another blog post in the multibody series.   In today’s topic I would like to make you aware of the multibody setup possibilities for clearance and creepage analysis. With the introduction of bodies in Creo Parametric 7.0, we also introduced support of the COMPARATIVE_TRACKING_INDEX parameter for bodies. If you add it to individual bodies of a part, you can define and control the conductivity definition separately for different bodies within a part. The attached video shows an example on a fuse part by defining conductive ends as body with a different CTI value. Once the body level parameter values are defined, you can see the conductive highlighting including the metallic ends of the fuse and excluding the red inner body. (view in My Videos)   Thanks for reading & watching.  I hope it was informative. If you liked it, give it a Kudo.   Back to Creo 7.0 & 8.0+ Multibody Home: Start Here!   Enjoy!....Martin

We hope you've been following along with this series in which we present quick Creo tutorials directly from our experts: our product managers. This is the final set of how-to tutorials in the series. It's a perfect opportunity to learn something new.   Take a look below at about 15 minutes of video tips to help you boost your Creo proficiency.   Let's get started.   Add Cable Mass to Properties Listed in the BOM   When you're working with cable harnesses, you might need wire mass included in properties listed in the Bill of Materials (BOM).   In this tutorial, see how to report mass properties for each wire in a BOM.   Watch the tutorial:     Toolpath Controls for Cutline Milling   Creo automates many cutline milling processes, making it easy to define the point of contact between the cutting tool and the surface being machined, thus resulting in a smooth toolpath.   In this tutorial, see how to:    Create a helical toolpath using auto-cutline functionality. Define a 5-axis toolpath while controlling the tool axis using the at a location option.   Watch how it works:     More Control Over Dimension Precision in MBD   You can make the value of a driving or driven dimension appear rounded to a defined number of decimal places, without impacting the actual value of the dimension.   In this tutorial, see how to prevent inadvertent modification of driving dimension values when you change the dimension precision (number of decimal places).   Here’s how:     For all the tips in this series, visit the Tips from the Creo Masters main page.

Ready for another 15 minutes of Creo tips from our product manager experts?   In the videos below, you’ll see how to avoid pitfalls when adding components to a Model Tree, a faster way to reach your AR experiences, and tips for getting embossed text on curved surfaces.   Drag-and-Drop Without Restructuring the Model Tree   Normally when you drag-and-drop parts and subassemblies in the Model Tree, they're moved to wherever you drop them. However, restructuring components can lead to unwanted changes in the assembly structure.   However, you can change this behavior so Model Tree components are not restructured when you drag-and-drop components.   In this tutorial, Arnaud van de Veerdonk, Creo Product Manager, shows you how:     Bookmark Your AR Experiences   Reviewing an augmented reality (AR) experience of a Creo model over and over? Stop opening that experience using the link in your email. Instead, save a few steps by creating a bookmark that automatically launches the AR experience.   In this short tutorial, Creo Product Manager, Luke Westbrook shows you how to create a bookmark on your mobile device to quickly open an AR experience.   See how to do it:     Add Embossed Text to a Cylindrical Surface   If you've ever designed a text element to emboss on a curved part, you know that getting it just right can be a mind bender. Demystify the process. Watch the tutorial below to see how to create embossed text on a cylindrical surface in Creo Parametric with as few clicks as possible.   In the tutorial, Mark Fischer, Sr. Director of Product Management shows you how to:   Wrap text around a curved surface. Turn the text into a designated area (a quilt that can be used to indicate areas for close examination or a special treatment), create an offset of the designated area, and then use the thicken feature to create the embossed text. Edit the appearance of the embossed text (defining the size, font, angle, etc.). Edit the definition for the text (defining the size, font, angle, etc.).   Watch how it's done here:     For more tips from our experts, watch the Tips from the Creo Masters main page.
