PTC Control Center Issues

One of our users is experiencing issue with PTC Control Center not updating Creo and not being able to be updated. When trying to perform a fresh install of the Control Center is says we can't overwrite the current install. Tried everything from an IT stand point except a fresh install of windows. Any one experience this? Screen grab added

I opened a ticket for this issue and no resolution was ever found.

Submitted logs and had multiple calls for it. We've had this happen between 4-5 different users and the only way we were able to resolve it was a fully fresh install of Windows.

@Brn_The_Admin

Make sure you make a PTC tech support ticket for this. Hopefully something simple but since this stuff is relatively new, they need to see the issues!

Hope you get an answer, good luck.

Im unable to make a ticket because our support is only Silver Tier, zzzzz. Thanks for the quick response though!

Hi @Brn_The_Admin,

Please create a technical support case by using the case logger - https://support.ptc.com/apps/case_logger_viewer/cs/auth/ssl/log

If you need assistance please let us know.

We faced the same issue, PTC support also couldn't figure it out. The Control center just won't get uninstalled. After multiple failed tries I deleted all the files related to Control Center and Creo Plus, removed all the Windows registry entries related to "PTC Control Center". That fixed it. Then we were able to install it from scratch. Maybe next time you won't need to re-install windows 😅

I had tried this, and was able to get PTC Control Center Installed. But the Creo download never actually started. Which prompted me to just pull the trigger on the full install.
