Hi, when I put the subassembly, wich parts are constrained to the straight lines in the picture below, in an assembly, I would like to modify the green circled sketch dimension from a value of 1160 mm to 1400 mm with 20 mm pitch dimensions: how can I do it without relations?Is there a method that allow this procedure with flexible dimension?  Thank you, Michele Baril

Hi, Prime 10.0.0.0 problem, when using the odesolve, I can display the displacement vector, but I can't list the first and second derivatives, when using the prime operator.  I can ask for discrete values, but the range variable, only works for the displacement term. I get a message stating that the "calculation is not converging to a solution", although I can plot it. Can anyone assist?,  

I've create custom mashup, that will generate the part structure and its associated object(ex: drawing, design info).I've different service and generate the info table data in the grid.if suppose, I've 300 rows then it would generated the result, but if I've more 500 rows/record it would take long time to generate the result.Minimum, it took more 5 minutes to generate the report/table.need suggestion to optimize the performance issue. also need some suggestion how to minimize the running time, I've already update ScriptTimeOut value, still not fix the issue.

I am pretty new to Creo Parametric and running into an issue where updating a part requires large amount of re-definition in assembly. I'm designing an adaptor between a t-slot beam and a table, the adaptor is applied 20 times over. Every time I make a change to the adaptor's sketch or thickness the assembly requires me to redo all the definitions of parts around all the adaptors. How should I avoid this?

I need to print and add to word these mathcad calcs with a bunch of warnings saying that the variable is undefined since these are all symbolic calculations:so i am not assigning a value to any of these variables at any point.surprisingly to me when I print, they all come like this: how can I get mathcad not to display these messages and highlights? edit: I went here, and tried selecting/unselecting everything and no luck:   

I have an assembly that needs multiple configurations. In one configuration component A is assembled to component B. In another configuration, A is assembled to component C and B doesn't exist or is suppressed.I think using a Family Table and Constraint sets would be a great solution. In the first FT instance I have a Constraint Set that constrains A to B and in a second instance, I have another Constraint Set that assembles A to C. However, the problem is that when I suppress B in the second instance, A becomes suppressed as well. I'm assuming this is because the Constraint Set that is used in the first instance makes A a child of B. Is there any workaround for this? Is there any discussion about having disabled Constraint Sets severing or negating parent/child relationships? It seems to me that would make sense and open more flexibility when using Creo assemblies. Currently using Creo 11

I have a text inside a definition, when this text is a large text, I am unable to shift the content to the left margin is equal to the starting line.  Inside PTC Arbortext Styler, setting indent has no effect or the undesired result.I have attached a screenshot, you'll see "filling] of the act", that is the portion I want to show flush to "file" the previous line, in fact any long content should not be shifted to the left that way.   Thanks.

I have a set of commands that sort through a text file to get values, make some of those values a number and then name those values.  (See Attached).  When I calculate the sheet, I can literally see Prime paint the values into my sheet.  Is there a faster way?

I'm bringing in a value from a text file.  I'm pretty sure Prime wants to display the value in radians.  But the value is really 84.11 degrees.  How can I make Prime display this as 84.11 degrees?

Got a weird one. We finally upgraded from 12.02 to 13.02! YEAH! A user called me today saying that they could not sign off on a task. I looked at their account and see that they were in the View and Print license group. But I also checked their records from the prior week and show that they did infact sign off on tasks. Is this an issue of groups not recomputing or something else? They must have had more than View and Print to be able to complete tasks last week. Strange that they suddenly did not show at least Windchill Base user license.

Version: Windchill 12.0   Use Case: I would like to know if others are using the Workspace, Use Advanced Tab as Default preference = YES for CAD data management in Windchill. Description: The preference Workspace, Use Advanced Tab as Default = YES appears to be a great option for CAD users to understand exactly what is being added to their workspace. I have never enabled this for Creo users, but I'm curious to know if folks using other CAD solutions, such as Solidworks, are using this preference and whether or not it had a positive impact for users to understand what is being added to the workspace.    I'd like to provide more information about what is related to what in Windchill and ensure users are getting all the right models, drawings and parts in the process.

I can't get a texture to save in the company appearance.dmt with the texture file saved. Is that because the  save_texture_with_model does what it says and saves the texture with the CAD file?   Anyone have any luck saving a texture file in the appearance.dmt for use as a company standard? Hoping I am just missing something easy here. I tried putting the texture file (.jpg) in the same folder as the appearance file but that doesn't seem to be working. When I open up the appearance.dmt with a text editor the there is a color_map line that references my jpg filename so it is saved in that file. Does the full path need to be in there?

I have following scenario, where I am trying to understand the behavior and the possible cause of it: User ''A'' from Org ''A'' is accessing two different documents (1) and (2) in Org ''B'' in Document (1) he can see his shred filters on the document but for Document (2) he can not. Document (1) in ORG ''B'':• Access control for User ''A'': Read, Download• User can see his shared filters as shown:Document (2) in ORG ''B'':• Access control for User ''A'': Read, Download• User can NOT see the shared filters as shown: I would have at least expected the case to be the other way around. Hello All,As new person to Windchill Site Administration, I have question related to the Windchill Database.I need to know about what actually is stored in the database tables. I am referring to the actual storage that happens from Windchill Application to the Database server.Specifically for situations as mentioned below.1. Does database store only relations between WT part and CAD objects?2. Whether it stores file location path on Product container of Windchill?3. If entire CAD object is being stored (.drw , .prt, .asm) ?4. Or database stores WT part and its structure for Bill Of Materials?Thanks in Advance,Rohan 

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.0I've created the watermarks for the different types in the Watermark Editor.I've added them and configured the watermark map in Creo View (10).I modified the user_prefs and renamed to server_prefs.xml and uploaded that with the .ini files to the worker in Windchill.Watermarks are only appearing on Creo drawings when opened in Creo View - Models are not getting watermarked.I would also like to watermark the downloadable PDF "additional file".I am hoping to do this without having to purchase Adobe Experience Manager.

Good day to anyone, first time posting here! I've been having a very simple issue, but as I am accumulating an increasingly large amount of files and need to navigate multiple folders, it has become quite a hassle that Creo's 'File>Open' Menu only allows for opening a single .prt file at once. Unfortunately, as the files in question are only somewhat related, they are not part of an assembly and as such cannot be opened together using the 'Open Subgroup' option.In many other programs, I could use Control-click to select multiple files individually or Shift-click on two files to select all files inbetween, then have all selected files opened in their own respective windows after clicking the 'Open' button. Is there a hidden option to select that would allow me to open multiple files at once? Or could I somehow replace the file mangement system with a somewhat more user-friendly one? Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Any assistance in the matter would be very
