Our new Creo Community Challenge focuses on two powerful tools that are already included with your base Creo installation: the Advanced Framework Extension (AFX) and the Intelligent Fastener Extension (IFX). What the Challenge Is AboutAFX (Advanced Framework Extension) helps you quickly design structural frameworks using standard steel and aluminum profiles. It simplifies the creation of frames, supports, and welded assemblies, and makes it easy to modify your design as it develops. IFX (Intelligent Fastener Extension) lets you insert industry-standard fasteners such as bolts, nuts, washers, and screws, with automatic hole creation and intelligent placement. It ensures that your fasteners fit correctly and that your assemblies look realistic and complete. The challenge is to combine AFX and IFX to design something practical, creative, or just plain fun. The goal is to show how these two extensions can work together to build realistic structural assemblies with automated intelligence. C

A preview of something that is being tested within CREOSON, looking for feedback and ideas.Keep these questions in mind as you read:Do I (or my company) care about my data going to someone else’s AI / Cloud? What use cases, processes, interfaces cause pain today? How could this change my day? Why do I care? The intent is to provide a FREE AI MCP (Model Context Protocol) interface within CREOSON that enables your AI Agents to connect to and drive Creo Parametric either as a specific set of contextual tasks - or within the context of other systems/environment workflows (e.g. YOUR models, standards, documents, EPR, PLM, etc.). Seems like this would be super powerful, and provide a lot of utility. This screen capture is an example of an AI Agent validating a connection to a new CREOSON MCP Endpoint (prototype currently). CREOSON - AI MCP Endpoint First Connection Test ResultThe CREOSON MCP Server enables you to choose/bring your own AI (Commercial Platform or Local AI). The screenshot abo
OK, a weird one..2 issues: 1st issue is that my Creo 9 has decided to open in a minimized state. Nothing changed on my end, except a recent windows update. Now I get a very small Creo window, when I used to get an almost maximized window. all settings are as they were the week before 2nd issue is that when I open a drawing, I get a blank sidebar, a 2nd blank ‘model tree’. There is nothing in it, and no top bar to close or anything. it’s just a blank ‘sidebar. And it covers content.. And it’s only with .DRW files.. The work-around is to close Creo, then restart it / open it again. Creo then starts up in a nearly full window, and teh blank sidebar is gone. any ideas?
I am using Windchill Risk and Reliability Enterprise Edition (Formerly Relex) Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS F000 Um die die aktuelle Version installieren zu können, wird für die Migration der Datenbank die Version 11 benötigt laut PTC Support.
I have a datautility for a classification attribute, using the selector of classification attribute, can we apply the same logic to another attribute? @HelesicPetr
This 1st picture is without chamfer and if I measure it. it shows 61mm (Abstand) This 2nd picture is after a put chamfer. but when I try to measure from the middle of chamfer to the side surafec it shows 60.5mm.While I was annotating, I chose the two marked (in red) to measure. So How do I correctly choose the apex of the chamfer? I should be getting 61mm
I tried doing the suggestions in this topic: Hide sketches from drawings | Communitybut in my drawing, Still I’m still not able to remove the sketch in this ISO view.I did hide all the sketch layers and the sketch and saved the status.I’m using creo 11.0.1 Please let me know if I missed any steps
Hello Creo 12 users,I’ve recently been having a problem with creating curves. When I go to Options for the curves and adjust the points, the curve jumps back to a different shape after I click OK. It looks as though the points aren’t being saved.I’ve attached a video.Does anyone recognise this problem and have a solution? Thanks and best regards,Ramon Bohne(Siemens Energy)
Hi, everyone! I was wondering: is there a way to set in parameters or templates the bend position to “add geometry” instead of standard option to the keep wall profile? I would like to have it as default for all my designs from the beggining instead of having to set it manually on every new design. Bend position. Thanks in advance.
Hello Team,-Creo 9 with Windchill.I'm looking to create a mapkey to quickly open a drawing of a room that's already open.I've done a lot of research and i can never find a working solution. please don't redirect me to an alternative solution.I know that a part can have several drawings or be included in other drawings. However, in my case, 90% of the parts created have only one drawing, which has exactly the same name as the part, with .drw instead of .prt.I've created a relationship: DRAWING = PART_ID+ ".DRW".I now have a parameter with the right value.Since copy and paste doesn't work in mapkey commands, is there a line of OS script code that you could put in a mapkey to say, open "parametre drawing"?I work in a company that doesn't allow third-party applications to be installed.Thank in advance.
Hi everyone,I am simulating the attached link mechanism (car seat flip-up with leg folding) in Creo MDO.(To get operating torque for seat flip up at each angle) However, the measured motor torque varies significantly depending on the flip-up motor speed and the minimum interval settings. In my current model, I observed the following: Motor speed: 10 deg/s Minimum interval: 1 to 0.01 Result: Motor torque oscillates significantly. Motor speed: 1 deg/s Minimum interval: 1 or 0.1 Result: Stable torque results. Motor speed: 0.1 deg/s Minimum interval: 1 to 0.01 Result: Simulation fails because the slot connection breaks. Based on these results, it seems that using a slower motor speed and a smaller minimum interval does not always improve simulation stability. Could anyone explain why this behavior occurs and share any recommendations for improving the stability of MDO simulations? Any best practices for selecting motor speed, interval settings, or other solver parameters would be greatly
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.0.0 IFX紧固件选择后,是否可以直接从PLM中调取模型直接进行装配,而不是本地每次参数化生成,导致无法与PLM中的标准件库匹配
Hello! I’m trying to make a simple cable harness 2 wires going from connector 1 to connector 2.There are 2 coordinate systems in each connector that I have made.On my drawing i’m trying to use repeat regions to display which port in the connector each wire should connect to. However no pin no. gets displayed, it doesn’t matter if I select the repeat region to be driven by the assembly or the connector part.I’m using &harn.run.cond.from.pin.entry_port and have tried a bunch of others but it remains blank regardless.I have tried creating Terminators inside the assembly but am unable to do anything besides create it? No editing or anything seems to be possible. I read some other posts where they supposedly add cabling parameters somehow? I don’t see how to do it.Any help to display pins on the drawing would be greatly appreciated!
Hello folks, a colleague asked me if I knew a way to copy the name of a selected model tree element to the clipboard.Since I could not find an out-of-the-box solution, I developed a small tool for this purpose myself:"Copy Model Tree Element Name To Clipboard"Maybe someone else would like to use the tool.
Hi Everyone,I'm looking for learning resources on Creo Parametric customization using C++ (Creo TOOLKIT / Creo Object TOOLKIT C++).From what I've researched by looking at job postings and industry discussions, it seems that C++ (Creo TOOLKIT / OTK C++) is still the most widely used technology for advanced Creo customization in many companies, especially for enterprise-level CAD automation and plugin development. If my understanding is incorrect, I'd appreciate any corrections.I'm specifically looking for paid or free online courses, YouTube playlists, Hands-on tutorials, sample projects or GitHub repositories, books or documentation that helped me learn, any training providers you've personally found useful. If you've learned Creo TOOLKIT/OTK C++ or know of any good resources, I'd really appreciate your recommendations. Thanks in advance!
Hello everybodyIt seems that the limit to constraint a conic arc is 4 points. I picked the start and end point and lay the arc as close to the 5 sketch points. Then i apply the constraints but it wont let me pick more than 4 unless i start making other dimensions References like the Rho, etc.any ideas. i need to keep the Radius (Rh), so a Spline feature will not work and neither a Curve by points. i guess i can go back to Manufacturing and delete the rest of the sketcher points. thanks
We have observed that AI generates better PlantUML diagrams compared to draw.io XML. The latest versions of draw.io appear to include PlantUML support; however, this option is not available in the draw.io instance embedded within Codebeamer. Is it possible to enable PlantUML support in the Codebeamer draw.io integration? If so, could you please share the expected timeline for making this feature available?
Just updated to CREO 12.4.3.0 and now rename_drawings_with_object is not working. When someone does “replace by new copy” in assembly mode, the drawing is not copied. It worked fine in previous version.
Hi, In Creo 3 I was able to add a dimension to a 2d drawing and while the dimension was still highlighted red...I could change the font, color and size. We then jumped to Creo 7, and it seems this no longer works. We are now on Creo 11, and it still doesn't work. I can change the font, and the size..but color does not stick if I just created the dimension. If the dimension is already existing, and i click on it….. i can change the color. I want to change the color on the fly. I am trying to create a mapkey to do this, but i cannot get this color to change if I try to run the mapkey on the fly, after creating the dimension. (with the dimension still highlighted) If I run it on an already existing dimension, it works fine. What am i doing wrong? see recording
Hello!I have a solid STEP file created by my supplier, that when imported into CREO is giving many errors like bad double-sided edges, solid node with open quilts etc etc. This causes the model to have quilts instead of one solid body.Depending in the import profile setting that I use I manage to get more or less errors, but almost never few enough to make it worth trying to repair the model. I feel like I have tried changing all relevant options in the import profile, but no combination seems to work. The supplier has tried to send the model in different formats with different settings too, like STEP, x_t, x_p, exporting to prt. Does anyone in this community have some good tips, or knowledge with Solidwors → Creo file sharing.(Unfortunately the model is under NDA so i cannot share it.) Thankful for any input you might have./David

I am looking for CREO and/or Windchill admin training options. Installation, upgrading, system setup, etc.Any direction is appreciated.
hello in Creo volume profile milling: why the step depth is not constant on radius profile like staight wall.please advice. also same problem in profile milling if use ball nose step depth not constant but if use endmill with scallop height then step depth change as per profile regardsAsif
