Hello everyone,I am looking for AR glasses that can run Unity-built applications and support Vuforia Engine SDK features, ideally including Area Targets or at least multiple Image Targets.Key requirements:The glasses should be able to run apps independently, without requiring a connected phone or PC for processing. They should support Vuforia's tracking features, with a preference for Area Targets, but multiple Image Targets would also be useful. The design should be less bulky and extreme-looking compared to HoloLens or Magic Leap, ideally resembling smart glasses. The budget is ideally under $1000, though slightly higher could be considered if necessary.I have looked into devices like XReal Air 2 Ultra, Vuzix Blade 2, and RayNeo Air 2s, but I am unsure whether they fully meet these criteria.Does anyone have recommendations for AR glasses that fit these specifications or experience running Vuforia-based applications on them? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.
This support page for multi-expert sessions says "Multi-expert sessions allow up to five participants to join a Chalk session". In my application it says "Select up to 51 participants". What is the five participants referring to in this case? Is this a typo or is it a different function that I'm not aware of?
As a valued customer, we would like to inform you about some important changes to our services. After reviewing our product portfolio, PTC has decided to re-align its remote assistance strategy and offerings as a Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) offering through ServiceMax Zinc. As a result, PTC will be retiring our Vuforia Chalk service on October 31, 2025 and recommending a migration to ServiceMax Zinc. ServiceMax Zinc is a remote collaboration tool that is now integrated within PTC’s Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) portfolio through PTC’s acquisition of ServiceMax last year. Existing Chalk customers and users can continue to use Chalk through October 31, 2025. We will continue to release security updates for our apps & services during this transition time. However, we will no longer be updating Chalk’s feature set going forward. Why we are retiring Chalk? As a result of PTC acquiring ServiceMax Zinc, we saw overlap between Chalk and Zinc’s vision, capabilities and features.
Hi,I was making some tests on the app.In particular, I created a new session using a registered user.Using another smartphone without logging into Chalk I simply joined the created session as guest.I have noticed this scenario:- if the host user shared the camera, it's possible to draw live annotations- if the guest user shared the camera, it's NOT possible to draw live annotations, even if the guest user has a supported ARCore smartphone with AR sensors. Is it an issue or it's a limitation ? Thanks
When using Chalk for Desktop to provide remote assistance to a user in the phone application, We have repeatedly needed the ability to present PDF drawings without interrupting the chalk session. Please add an attachment option within the messenger function or a picture in picture function within the session that would allow for sharing of JPG and PDF files quickly and without interruption.
The users of the application would like to store information associated with the session: they would like to write comments, what has been done, and link them to the session (customer name, operator, date, time, etc.) In this way they can have a history/log of the activities with each specific customer. Does PTC has this type of feature in plans? Maybe associated in the Enterprise Management Tool? Best Regards Olena
Good day Community, does Chalk Product Team consider to add different interface languages to the Chalk Application? Best Regards Olena
Good day everyone, Since morning, I have tried connecting to a session from Real Wear HMT-1 & Navigator 500 to no avail. After entering the session code, it stays in a loading page. No option to join the session. We are using the latest version 4.25.0 in all of our devices. We made some test using different connection methods (different wifis, mobile data) but had no success. It just worked using the app from a mobile phone. Is anyone else having this issue using RealWears? Thanks in advance.
Vuforia Chalk supports the use of RealWear’s Thermal Camera Module during Chalk sessions. To open the Thermal Camera Module and bring the thermal images back into your session, you can use the “Use thermal camera” voice command. Note: This feature is currently in beta. To request that this beta feature be enabled, please follow the instructions provided in the 'Use Thermal Image link' Due to the beta state of this feature, it can only be accessed using the voice command, and is not shown as an option in the user interface.
Good day,I've tried to start a session via web page (vuforiachalk.com) and this message appears:"Failed to create session. Please check your connection and try again".So, I executed the Network test, but everything turned out to be OK. I have tried to start a session from the Android app and with a different laptop and user with the same result. Is anybody else having the same issue? Thanks in advance.
Vuforia Chalk has scheduled maintenance for Saturday, October 28th. To continue delivering a secure and responsive experience, we are doing some behind-the-scenes upgrades that require a 3-hour outage. We acknowledge the inconvenience and have attempted to schedule the outage for a time that has a minimal amount of impact for our users.
As per the original post. Hello Dan, Is there any update on publishing and/or using the Chalk API? Thanks

Is it possible to let Chalk learn the environment from more angles such as front, back, top, bottom sides then start the session?Currenlty Chalk would initialize the session right after it recognize the front view so that when user walks to the backend of the object or other angles, the Live Annotation could not be used properly and user have to let Chalk re-learn the environment from that angle and continue the session which is not convinient and sometimes due to the limitation of the space from different angle, it is not easy the learn the environment from the angle. This idea is reported by Korean Customer: SeAH Besteel Corp Use Case: User would request assistance around an object, E.g: TV or any other physical object. Then initially Chalk learns the environment in front of user then the session starts. When user goes to other side of that TV, E.g: up to down view of the backend of the TV, then the live annotation couldn't be used(Chalk would say "Point camera here to resum

Dear Community, I tried to set up a test call with a potential customer with vuforia chalk, and the chalk app kept crashing on his samsung galaxy note 20.Also I've noticed that the live annotations where deactivated as default in the app. If this is the default, then you have to explain to every new user, how to turn it on before even starting the call. Best wishes, Alex
