Has anybody managed some sort of shortcut/mapkey for this yet? I'm taking about quickly opening a drawing of same name when the model is on screen, the way you can open a model by right clicking in the drawings model tree . .

Hello,I am looking for help with an issue involving sheet metal flat patterns, Creo Parametric, and Creo View.I am using Creo Parametric 10 and Creo View 12. When I create a flat pattern of a sheet metal part in Creo Parametric, the automatically generated bounding box overall length and width dimension annotations display correctly in Creo Parametric.However, when I open the corresponding file in Creo View, those automatically generated flat pattern bounding box dimensions do not appear in the Creo View viewable state.One thing I have noticed is that if I create manual dimensions in Creo Parametric, those manual dimensions do come through and display in Creo View correctly. The issue seems to be specific to the automatically generated dimensions created during flat pattern creation.Has anyone else seen this behavior with automatically generated flat pattern bounding box dimensions not publishing or displaying in Creo View? Hello all,Long time Creo user, i started with a Logitech MX mouse, after a few years had a wrist pain. I switched to MX vertical for several years, no more wrist pain but now it’s the elbow. I read that a trackball could be ergonomically better than a mouse so I’m looking for a model. Anyone here using a trackball ? Do you have a model recommendation ? Models to avoid ? I’m using Creo for CAD and Esprit for CAM.Thanks.

By default, the UN Hole Sizes in Creo 10 go up to 1½ - 6.  We deal with larger holes quite often.  How can this be changed so that UN Hole Size options are available up to 2 ½?Thank you! 

Weld symbol for ISO standard in Creo 12.4 is supporting ISO2553:1984, acc to PTC Help and the PTC articles CS465068 & CS303110.This creates huge problems for companies that must be certified against ISO 3834-2. Which is applicable for example for companies with in the nuclear power industry. This companies are now forced to either create new custom symbols, (Which is quite complicated) or to make “fake” the symbols on the drawing adding lines and text manually.I suggest that the weld ISO weld symbols are updated acc. to latest ISO 2553 standard, that would be the one from 2019, Edition 5.

Creo has neat functionality in the restricted parameter list.  Creo also has nice functionality in that you can import an .xml file to add parameters to a Model.  It would appear that these two do not play well together. I am trying to update legacy models that have missing parameters and my .xml import was working wonderfully until I updated my restricted parameter.lst file.   I get this message:   Is there any way to make the import work?  Is it a matter of my restrictions in my .lst not EXACTLY matching what I have in the .xml?

Hello, I have random lines on my part and don't know how to hide them. These lines are the exact ones that show when saving an STL file. Does someone know how I can get rid of them?

Greetings, Looking for ideas on how to report sum length of cable spool based on custom length per spool segment used in cable harness.example:spool A - length=L1, custom_length (driven from relation) =CL1, spool used N1 times in harness.total length of spool A =?the problem i have is that I can’t make any relation as there is no way to use rep.qty for cable spools in a harness.summation function is also not very flexable. I would prefer if it was function then I could create a relation with If (example: if spool a name==A sum).Is there another simpler way to solve it? Practically best solution I found is to generate the table  > export to CSV > make simple excel relation.

I make a hole and create Geometric Tolerance in model, such as 3/8-16 UNC -2B TAP THRU 5/16 DRILL (0.257) .0750 - (1) HOLE. I only can put GTOL as a free note in drawing as shown belowIs there a method to place to a hole note directly?Thanks,

Hallo,in einer Baugruppe sollen über “Ansichts-Manager” verschiedene Varianten der Baugruppe erstellt werden. Dabei sind in einer Variante nur jeweils wenige Teile spezifisch, die meisten kommen in allen Varianten vor. Einige dieser Komponenten werden aber an unterschiedlichen Stellen verbaut.Wir kann das realisiert werden, ohne bei jeder Variante diese Komponenten neu in die Baugruppe laden und verbauen zu müssen?Danke und Gruß,Jörg

Hello,Like it says in the title, while placing/replacing a component inside the assembly, the 3D display dragger is not shown despite the fact that the option to show the dragger is selected. Does anyone know what could be the issue. This problem occured when I tried opening the separate component display window. 

Hello, I would like to ask if there is any way how to find out in which assemblies is used one particular part. We have a large folder with several similar assemblies. Then there are two versions of similar part, for example. If I open all the assemblies at first, so they are loaded in session memory, I can use reference viewer to find out where is this particular part used. But is there any way how to do this without opening a large number of assemblies? Hope my question is understandable, thanks for replies.

Hi,Would anyone know how to prevent Creo 10 from creating cap surfaces for tapped holes while using the Creo Parametric Hole feature?The surface shown in the image below is not the side wall of the thread but a cap surface at the top of the thread.  This makes you have to query select the hole which is an extra step when assembling parts to the tapped hole at the top-level assembly.Thanks for any help you can provide,Don A  

Is there a way in Creo Parametric to adjust splines with drag handles, like in Solidworks?I am trying to replicate a part from Solidworks, but I cant get the splines to behave just like in the Solidworks part. I’ve noticed that in the Solidworks feature the splines have ben drawn by draging the lines to the desired position. 

When going to a part, right mouse click > Compare to Part structure, Compare to CAD structure.I'm missing the expand all button, how and where can i enable this button. Documentation says it should be there, i suspect it's been disabled in the past due to performance considerations. Can anyone confirm:1- Does this window have an expand all button,  Compare to Part structure, Compare to CAD structure.2- Where can i find the config settings to change this? Thanks. 

Hello,Yesterday I upgraded from Creo 9.0.8.0 to Creo 12.4.3.0 and noticed an annoyance with the “Open File” and “Assemble Component” commands.The problem is that Creo 12, unlike Creo 9, keeps the last selected setting in the filter “Type”. In Creo 9, however, the default value would be a generic setting (e.g. *.prt, *.asm, .....).My question is: is there a way to restore this behavior so that it works like in Creo 9?I tried searching for a setting in the configuration but couldn't find anything.The only workaround I can think of is to create a set of macros to open and assemble the ones that preset the generic filter (*.prt, *.asm, etc.).Does anyone know of a solution or have noticed the same problem?Thank you

I am trying to create a flushed flange which goes around the boundary of a sheet metal part. When I try doing this with the flushed flange feature I run into a feature failed to regenerate error. I have tried the one by one standard chain, rule based partial loop/complete loop chains but nothing seems to work. Attached is the part I am trying to work on with the 8.4mm flushed flange and the corner cut at the edge Q.

I need some cabling support, specifically: I need to run a series of cables through a conduit. I use the route network first, then the route cables. To have them side by side, I copy the network of the first one, at least for the straight segment. What I need is if there's a way, when I route cables, that my cables must fit inside my conduit, so I can set some clearances. If there are a lot of cables and they don't fit within the clearances, please let me know. Basically, I need the same thing you use for the holes; that is, I set the maximum clearance diameter through which certain cables can pass, but instead of circular areas, I need rectangular areas since they're conduits.Thanks in advance.
