Hi,My student license of Creo 8.0 just expired, and I am running into an issue with relicensing it.  I deleted the old license file located in C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing.  I then go to the path of C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 8.0.0.0\Parametric\bin, right click on reconfigure.exe and Run as Administrator.  I select to allow app to make changes on my device.  When the Installation Assistant opens, “Reconfigure licenses in an existing installation” is the only option to select, so I hit “Next”.  On the Licenses page, I open the Node Locked License Generation and enter BK800908EDSTUDENTEDUNI.  After that, a dialog box opens where I sign in with my PTC account, and I hit okay.  Then the Installation Assistant shows Processing for a while, and then it just shows Error!  What am I doing incorrectly here?  I’ve included a picture of the error page on the Installation Assistant. 

I am attempting to download the schools edition of creo 8.0. I downloaded the creo 8.0 zip file from the ptc academic program-free download page. i then unzipped the file and ran the installer as an admin. I went through the introduction and software agreement section and am now on the licenses tab. I have entered the provided student license entry product code of BE800908EDSTUDENTEDK12 under the node locked license generation section and signed into my account, but it just says processing then swaps to error. What am I doing wrong?

I was told that if I install it for college students, they will give me the license code as a file, but I can't see it. What should I do?

Hello,I am using Creo 12 University Edition with my student account.My license file contains Host ID 34-DE-89-85-DD-22, but my current system MAC address is 60-FF-9E-19-AC-B8. Creo shows the error:"License request failed for feature CREOPMA_StudentP6 - Invalid host (-9)"I am using the same laptop and have already reinstalled Creo and reconfigured the license. I also cannot access License Management because my account shows "Access Denied - Insufficient Privileges".Please regenerate/reset my University Edition license for my current host ID.Thank you.

Hello, I’m attempting to solve a polynomial using the solve function however my solutions are continually being shown as long expressions rather than singular numbers. I’m fairly confident there’s an issue with the units as some of the units are blacked out in the solver box, see below.I’ve tried toggling the “Units/Constraints in Symbolic” option as this seems to have helped others with similar problems but that doesn’t seem to be working for me. Any suggestions/solutions are greatly appreciated.  

I was unable to create new local attributes even after running the AddColumns wt.part.WTPart String=1 query in the Windchill shell. Although the attribute columns were successfully added to the wt.part.WTPart table and the corresponding columns are visible in the database, the new local attributes are not being created still getting same old error “ A string attributes cannot be created because database columns of the following datatype are not available

Hi! I’m taking my first ends course and they had us download creo. Followed the steps, downloaded the app but when I click on it, it doesn’t open. Any help with be helpful please 

I created an Academic Account, downloaded Creo 12 Student Edition, but my account shows 'Creo: N' under Authorized Products. The installer asks for a Product Code to generate a node-locked license, but no Product Code was provided.

what should i do? plz help me. 

Hi, I’m trying to install Creo 12. And the second step is to insert the user name and password and then it should upload my license. But it just says “invalid file or format. What have I don’t wrong?

Hello, I am a student trying to install Creo 12 Academic Version. I am encountering a persistent issue during the licensing step: The Issue: After entering my Product Code (BK...), the installer displays a green "Success" status. However, I cannot proceed, and the generated license file in C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing is empty (0 KB). Technical Details: Version: Creo 12.0 Host ID: [Available upon request for PTC Staff] Product Code: BK120908EDUNIVERSITYED Troubleshooting already done: Ran the installer as Administrator. Disabled Windows Firewall and Antivirus. Verified that the Host ID matches my active network card (other adapters were disabled). Cleared the Licensing folder and attempted a re-install. Verified that the "Controlled Folder Access" in Windows is disabled. Despite the server validation (Success), no data is written into the .dat file. Could you please provide a valid license file or reset the activation for my Host ID? Thank you for your help

Hi, I got a new PC today and would need to transfer Creo Parametric Student Edition over. I have a Node-locked License Key from my University, but that obviously doesnt allow installation on two machines simultaneously. I have removed Creo from the old machine but still cannot get the license to work on the new one - how do I do that? Thanks!

I’m trying to install Creo Parametric with a student license, but while the code I was given generates a Success, the installation tool doesn’t recognize the license created and gives the error “invalid file or format”. I checked the .dat file created with the Notepad app, and it’s indeed empty. I haven’t received a mail with the license, as other threads suggest, so don’t really know what to do

I've tried to install the software with the education product code provided . When inputing the code, after login with the ptc credentials , the software created a .dat file but was empty and the instalation software kept saying incorrect or wrong format file. Afte trying 3 times the same procedure with the same result, now when i tried again it says :"you have reached the maximum number of licenses request available for your product type"

We are conducting classes using the Education Edition of Creo, and our students have been installing the Student Edition on their personal laptops so they can practice outside of class. However, for the past few days, the Student Edition has been unable to complete license authentication, and installation has not been possible. This situation is causing significant difficulties, so we kindly request your prompt assistance.

Please can someone convert this for me because i have prime free and it doesn’n work for me. 

I am trying to install Creo 12 Student Version (free student version).There was a PTC system installation issue during setup, and I had to attempt the installation multiple times. Now I receive the error:"You have reached the max number of license requests for your product type."I believe the repeated installation attempts used up my available license requests.I have sent an email to AcademicSupport@ptc.com to help reset my student license activation count. is there anything else I can do? Dear Sir/Madam,I have an error problem during the installation of the student Creo 12 version as shown in the picture below. The .dat license file is created in the folder path  (C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing) but it is empty or there is an error with it.I followed the installation instructions exactly as written. I would appreciate it if there is a way you can send me the .dat license file by email and give me instructions to proceed with the installation of the Creo12 Student version. Thanks Best Regards

Hello,I’m using Creo Parametric 10.0.9.0 with a student license.My license expired a few days ago, so I reissued it from the official website.The PDF said to download Creo 12, so I downloaded Creo 12.When I opened setup.exe and tried to enter the code, an error occurred and I couldn’t proceed any further.I’ve deleted the old license from my PC’s folder.If anyone knows a solution, I’d really appreciate your help.

I've got to step 4. Once I paste the product code I see the success message but within the license source it shows an error symbol and says invalid format or file and doesn't let me click next. creo 12.0

Could somebody help. I am a Student and i tried to Install Creo 11 and it worked. The only Problem is that when i try to creat the Licens File via the Programm exe. It says “License invalid file or format”.I have the new Surface Pro 11 14” with the Snapdragon Elite plus. So Windows 11 ARM64Do somebody have an answer  ?

I am using Mathcad Prime version 12. Whenever i try to activate my license, I get this error: One or more errors occurred. (Server Error)
