Hi all,We're running Thingworx 10 as SaaS with Thingworx Kepware server 6.18 on-prem. I sometimes notice that devices that are disconnected in kepware (e.g. powered off), still have properties in Thingworx that show good quality. When I run GetPropertyDiagnostics on any of the properties, the results shows CurrentQuality as BAD.It also seems like the behavior is not always the same, most often the disconnection will change the property quality & values as expected.As Push Type we use 'Pushed based on deadband', when I change this to 'always', the property quality changes and values are set back to 0 (so the expected behavior) but with ten thousands of properties the impact on our environment will be too high.Is there any other way to ensure that a disconnected machine is always seen in thingworx without using a workaround like a lifebit?

STARTPARM is enabled and the parameters from the start file exist in the part, but ModelCHECK still flags them as missing.     

I am using Creo 12.4.2.0.  I have an engine model that was created in Autocad.  The base units are in inches.  When I import the .dwg, the units are correct.  As soon as I save the file with a new name (File --> Save As Copy), it always re-scales the model to mm.  It's not converting the units. it's multiplying all the inch dimensions by 25.4, and then saving the file as inches.  I have tried rescaling (Model --> Operations --> Rescale), but no matter what I try, the dimensions don't change or convert.  I have also tried to change the units from IPS to MKS, but I don't have the option to convert or interpret.  These options are grayed out. I misspoke in my initial post.  It's a .dwg file, not .dxf.  The forum will not allow me up upload this type of file.

I’ve been looking at automating some calculations with the Viktor program.  Viktor acts as a kind of app builder for python apps.  I’d like to use MathCAD to perform the actual math for the calculation because it’s easy to see the math workflow, but I’d use Viktor as the bridge between my finite element program to bring results into MathCAD and to help visualize results.  Does anyone have any experience with integrating MathCAD with Viktor?  Any guides or tips you can provide? 

With these Box, Lasso, and Trace selections that are new in Creo 11. Is it possible to turn these off? So it works similar to Creo 10 and below? I'm still dealing with selection issues in Creo 11. PTC is of no help, as they say the don't see this issue.  But myself and every other engineer here all see this. When selecting surfaces or edges..it takes 3 times longer to select now in Creo 11. Id like to narrow down its not something to do with this lasso, Box and Trace stuff added in Creo 11. (when we first started having problems) Can I turn these off? Thanks,Jay

Hi everyone,I am working in Creo Parametric using Pro/Toolkit (classic C API).I am trying to programmatically apply a HALF section to an existing drawing view using:ProDrawingView2DSectionSet()The plane selection is done interactively using ProSelect(), and the selection succeeds.Here is the relevant code:Questions:Does the section name (sec_name_out) need to already exist in the model before calling ProDrawingView2DSectionSet?For HALF sections, does the plane selection need to be from the model window rather than the drawing?Is there any additional requirement (like creating the section definition first) before applying a half section?Does the view need to be a specific type (e.g., general view only)?Manually, I can create the half section using the same reference plane without any issue. Is it possible to access other Channels' Tag data from within a Universal Device Driver profile? I need to save some Tag data to a csv or text file and am looking at the possibility of using UDD in File Mode to periodically write the data values from a channel (Modbus TCP for example) to file.  I'm just not yet sure if there's a way to access 'outside' Tag data from within the UDD Channel/profile.

For example: From part type PART_A, I need to fetch a custom attribute ATTR_A From part type PART_B, I need to fetch a different custom attribute ATTR_B Is it possible to achieve this in a single Query Builder report? We need to pull data out of an old 5/250 but Kepware is preventing us from entering the address as they need to be.  the PLC5 architecture is "N7:40" for example but in the PLC5/250 it requires a leading digit to identify which module the address is in so "N7:40" in a 5/250 would be "0N7:40".  Has anyone had any experience with this? THank you,Dean

Hello, We are currently running Ignition（SCADA soft） on Linux and would like to use KEPServerEX as the OPC server/gateway. However, the documentation indicates that KEPServerEX is Windows-only, and using Windows is not an option in our environment.We also considered other options such as KEPServerEX Edge, but the available drivers/licensing do not match the PLC we need to connect to, so Edge does not meet our requirements either.Questions / what we are trying to achieve:Are there any plans for KEPServerEX to support Linux (either natively or officially via containerization/other supported deployment methods)?Our goal is to acquire data from a PLC using KEPServerEX and then provide that data to Ignition (e.g., via OPC UA). What is the recommended approach when Ignition is running on Linux and Windows cannot be used?Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi everyoneBasically I'm trying to log data into an SQL server, I get the correct tag value and tag name, but with the time I'm not able to see it correctly in SQL In SQL I have the column Time as data type: timestampand the data that logs is in hexadecimal, so is not what I wantI've actually use data type datetime2 as well in sql but then I get an error in Kepware (Error Data Logger Plug-in Unable to query recordset on Log Group 'loggroup'. Reason: Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string)You can see it in the snapshots  does anyone know how can I actually submit the time in the SQL server? or like what datatype should be in Kepware and SQL? please help

Hello all,Currently trying to read values from 0i-TF CNC machine. Using Open Model in Focas library  WHen try to read the value, the data type changed to Native and Quality and No Value.I tried to refer from previous post/topic but seems never work for me.

One of our clients is planning an upgrade to Windchill 13. They need to make sure that all legacy change objects are converted to flexible change objects. They have run the conversion tool, which converted about 2000 change objects. However, there are 400 legacy change objects that are not eligible for conversion. These change objects are change requests and change notices that are still running without having a resolution date set yet. According to the documentation (article CS425124) they need to "complete all tasks associated to each change object so that Resolution Date is set automatically". The problem is that our client is just not possible to complete all tasks on those 400 change objects. What is the best approach or workaround to resolve this issue and proceed with the upgrade?

When attempting to export using the “Convert to PDF” function with a custom template, the generated PDF contains no data. According to the PTC team, this is a long-standing known limitation, and there are currently no plans to change this behavior. They confirmed that when exporting to Word without selecting “Convert to PDF,” the Table of Contents appears correctly. However, when the “Convert to PDF” option is used, the PDF export does not include the Table of Contents due to this limitation. Hi all,I’m working on a Word export report in Codebeamer 3.2 where I want to list Requirements together with their linked Test Cases.The requirement from the report user is that the Test Cases associated with each Requirement must appear in the same sequence/order as in the Test Case tracker outline (i.e. respecting the tracker’s hierarchy/ordering).However, this order is not respected in the join when I export to Word. The joined Test Cases appear in a different sequence(issue ID desc) and I haven’t found a way to enforce the tracker outline order.What I have tried so far:Custom field for sequence numberI created a custom field on the Test Case tracker intended to store the sequence/index from the tracker outline and then use that field for sorting.The problem is that this would require a custom API/script to populate and maintain the sequence values, since a computed field does not seem to have access to the item’s position in the tracker outline.Including the outline in the second q

I found this previous post on this topic: Solved: Re: Delete choice field options permanently in cod... - PTC Community I understand this is by design but the functionality is frustrating for a couple of reasons: 1. Deleted choices become obsolete but still appear as an option in filtering, confusing users.2. Choice field options are automatically created on import so if the original import is not perfectly formatted, new choice field options are now locked into the tracker permanently. If there's no way to allow us to permanently delete these choices (without deleting and re-creating the field), there should be additional work arounds to at least hide these options from users and permanently lock the field down to avoid accidental creation of new choices upon imports.

It can be imagined like a rubber band stretched around the outermost points. If you have ideas for how Convex Hull could be useful in your workflows, please comment on the idea and share your use cases. This will really help show the need for implementing it. I am trying to load an external website inside a Web Frame widget in a ThingWorx Mashup.I added the  URL in the URL property of the Web Frame widget: However, when I open the mashup, the page does not load and the widget appears blank.What I have already checked:The URL works correctly when opened directly in the browser.The Mashup loads successfully in ThingWorxThe URL is added correctly in the Web Frame widget properties.Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
