HiI am experiencing a visualization issue in Creo Ansys Simulation. (12.4.2.0)The simulation completes successfully and the result legend/color scale is displayed correctly. However, when viewing the results, the part is displayed as a wireframe and the contour plot (fringe colors) is not shown on the geometry.The issue occurs across all simulation types and result types that I have tested.An interesting observation is that when I start a result animation, the contour colors immediately appear and are displayed correctly during the animation. Once the animation stops, the model returns to the wireframe-only display.Has anyone encountered this behavior before?Thanks 

I am running model check on a top level assembly. When I look at the assembly report there are parts that have errors however when i go into those parts or open them separately to run model check there are no errors.

!--scriptorstartfragment-->Hello, I would like to simulate a mechanism consisting of a pendulum (Point A), a pulley (Point B), and a slider (Point C) in an assembly. The conditions are:- The wire between Point A and Point C is inextensible (constant length, no stretch, no slack).- The wire passes over Point B (pulley).- The pendulum is rigid one-part. My questions are: 1. Is it possible to build such an assembly model using relations or other Creo mechanisms?2. Can this model be used for motion simulation in MDO (Mechanism Dynamics Option)? I tried using relations based on measured distances (Analysis → Measure).However, it seems that the measure feature cannot be used on the left-hand side of a relation, so I could not enforce the constraint properly. Does anyone have suggestions for modeling this kind of system in Creo?(I am useing Creo11) Thank you in advance.``!--scriptorendfragment-->

Hello allI want to simulate the O-ring contact stress under a certain displacement, when I meshing the part, it pop out the window as below.it seems that there is something wrong with material assignment. the material property is shown as below(just an example, not real case).  the Mooney-Rivlin model was used to describe the material property. Could anyone help me check what’s wrong here?

Point 10According to the documentation, I understood that monitoring point values can be accessed using syntax like:flow.P@probe."Point01"and that user-defined XY plot variables should be created using:plot.varnameSo I tried defining an expression like:plot.P_avg = (flow.P@probe."Point 01" + [...] + flow.P@probe."Point 10")/10#plot.P_avg: Average Pressure [Pa]However, I cannot find plot.P_avg as a selectable variable in the XY Plot panel or elsewhere afterwards.Has anyone successfully plotted an average value from multiple monitoring points in Creo Flow Analysis?Am I missing a specific place/context where the expression must be created, or is there another syntax required?Thanks in advance.

I’m trying to calculate one bracket where hole for shaft. Part is very complicated and there are several forces in different locations of it. So easiest way to constrain part is add constrain to to hole of bracket. It work but it behaves wrong way now. All surfaces of hole are “locked” and it’s quite far away how it should behave when there is shaft in hole. One solution would be that turn it other way and add bearing force to hole and cnstrain other surfaces/points but it’s really hard to get right values etc on that case. So now would like to hear how that constrain can be done such way that it as close as possible same way as shaft in hole? (contact analyses can’t be used because of our poor license..) 

Hi Guys, I’m using Creo Parametric 10.0.0.0 ,I created a few samples with lattice structures and wanted to compare the 3D printed result to the CAD design. Now for the formula driven/TPMS structures one can enter cell size and wall thickness. I wanted to measure the pore size and realized that the in the process of creation defined wall thickness isn’t the same as the resulting CAD strucuture. As an example I created a Schwarz primitive lattice structure with cell size of 2mm x 2mm x 2mm and a wall thickness of 0.25mm, but when I measure the wall thickness after creating the lattice feature, its not the same as the inputted parameter (I measured ~0.47mm). I have attached a few Screenshots to make my issue more understandable. Please, does anybody have an idea how to output the “strain energy per unit area” to report file for all of calculated prestressed modal modes? Or another way how to see the one area integrated number of N/mm separately for all of modal modes?Thx for support

Hello,I want to use Creo for simulations, but I can't access the simulation interface.The button under Application > Simulate is grayed out. I am using Creo 10, When I go to Creo Simulation Live and click on “Study”, the “include thermal” option is grayed out.  I am trying to perform a multi-physics analysis to determine the effects of thermal expansion.  I found a video by PTC that is exactly what I need to do, but I can’t select the “include thermal”.   This video is for Creo 9, so I would think Creo 10 has the same capability.  The option is there but just grayed out.

I'm trying to set up a design study where I rotate a crankshaft and the load vectors and magnitudes vary based on the rotation angle.  I was told I could create a user parameter, which is the angle, and then link the load values and/or directions to the angle parameter using relations. So when the angle value changes, the loads change accordingly.   Can someone show me how I would write a relation like that? or Does someone have another way to do this?   Currently the crankshaft is an assembly file where the load vector is defined with a coordinate system.  So when the assembly angle (crankshaft angle) is changed the csys changes to apply the bearing load at the correct vector.

Hello everyone,I am having problems with a mechanism analysis in Creo.I have a square sliding pin that moves along an axis using a prismatic joint.The pin is preloaded by a spring.An eccentric rotating disk (cam) pushes the pin upward, and the spring pushes it back when the cam rotates away.The disk does not rotate around its geometric center (offset axis).What I am trying to achieveI need to evaluate the required driving torque of the rotating disk during the mechanism analysis.What I have already tried3D surface-to-surface contact between cam and pinCam / curve follower definition instead of contactUnfortunately, both approaches fail during the mechanism analysis with a “simulation failed / analysis failed” error.Additional question (modeling):I also need to place 48 identical sliding pins into corresponding grooves/slots around the disk.Is there a way to automatically insert or pattern these pins without defining each pin manually in the mechanism?Creo version: 12.4.0.0 Any hel

Hello,I use Inspect geometry/Shadow analysis. But now I need to create an envelope of the shadow when the light direction change. Is there any way how to do it or get the envelope geometry? I know I can dynamically update the shadow when I drag light dimension, but I need to change concurrently 2 or 3 dimensions. I use Creo 12 Thanks for help.Best regardsMichal

Hello, I am trying to model a retracting pin which allows a spring loaded mass to drop freely in the z-axis using Creo 8+. However, I keep getting the following error: "3-D contact in model has encountered an error:In a cylinder-cylinder contact, the rectangular contact patch is invalid.This violates contact-patch assumptions related to Hertzian compliant contactcalculations." As far as I can tell, there is no interference in my model, no erroneous material properties, etc.  I have been using dynamic analysis for this, and the pin is removed using a translation servo motor. The mass is constrained in the x & y by two pin constraints. I do not have friction enabled, nor gravity. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated! I have already tried changing the contact to a point-cylinder & decreasing the contact radius of the point. 

Hi,I am trying to run a dynamic simulation for my assembly. It contains the the lever arm with the pivot at the center of the arm. One end I have mass which generates the force of 25N in one direction. I apply 600N of force on the other end in opposite direction (force curve will start at (0,0) to (0.5ms, 600N)). I have the below setting and it seems like the lever is not rotating. Do we need to change any setting if the duration is very small.

The bolt shouldn't need a nut. I'm just pulling against the slot to see if we can simulate the failure.I can't imagine that would need to create an imaginary nut for this. What is the best way to create a contact and maintain the cool bolt functionality? (without a nut and another imaginary part for the imaginary nut to connect to) The actual assembly does not have a nut at the end of this bolt and I'm not testing the "pull out" of this bolt in the other part - just the failure of the thin area of the slot. 

I am using creo flow analysis (creo 11.0.4) with the base license. I would like to simulate a free standing centrifugal (radial) fan in a simple air channel. How do I simulate that?I can create a fluid volume and at the locus of the fan I create a circular interface. I can now choose "fan" for that interface and add a local function as a dp-curve. So far so good. However, creo considers that fan automatically as axial fan and, therefore, the fluid flows straight through this interface. I could add swirl (radial and tangential velocity) to the fan, but I have to add these values in m/s (and I don't know these). Furthermore, I can not select the rotation direction. I saw that alternatively I could choose "rotating wall" as boundary condition if I have a solid that represents the fan blades but I could not manage to create a fan with that. I am also not interested in the flow right through/in the fan but rather through the whole channel. What is the difference between "rotating

Hello All, I’m trying to simulate torque applied to a ¼” hexagonal driver to a reduced A/F set screw. I have set the simulation up but getting very high stresses in the results. My question is does applying the ‘total load at point’ effectively divide the moment load by 6 in this case, the point created is at the centre of the hex? Due to the stress reported I suspect I may have to divide the torque value by 6 manually when setting the load up?
