Hi,I have created the overloaded CAD BOM in Creo, loaded them into Windchill, auto-associated WTParts with CAD Documents, and thoroughly defined Options and Variants. However, when I generate the Variant from the overloaded BOM in Windchill, it creates a variant assembly, but the top-level CAD variant is not being created and associated with the top-level Variant WTPart automatically. I have learned that an additional license module for Creo is required to generate the top-level variant CAD. Could anyone please advise which license module I should purchase to enable this feature?

Hi, I’ve developed a project in ThingWorx (V9.6) using PostgreSQL as the persistence provider. We are now planning to migrate this project to a new ThingWorx(V9.7.1) environment that uses Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) as its persistence provider. I would like to know whether such a migration is feasible, and if so, what potential conflicts or challenges we might face during the process. When I try to get the maximum, an error is caused by the range variable i, "This value must be an integer".  I am using PTC Prime 9.  Appreciate your help!

Hello, I have a Prime 11 file that I'm using 4 iterations of the INCLUDE Statement to pull data from 4 prime sheets.  The processing is very slow. I'm thinking about using instead four sets of READTEXT commands as I can probably pull the data I need from the 4 prime files into 4 large text files.  Then read the text files back into the Prime sheet in question.  Seems like there would be more time creating the text files with WRITETEXT commands for each sheet.  But processing the 4 big text files into my sheet should be quicker. Anyone has experience with these two alternatives?  I see a number of questions regarding the INCLUDE statement.

I am facing a problem where the attributes on the first step of the edit change task wizard are not displayed. This is at wcadmin all the way down to a user with technically the correct access.  I have sifted through all the ptc CS and nothing has fixed my issue.  I can update resulting objects and finish the wizard just fine.  This is on a customized system with little documentation.  13.0.2.0

Hello, SVG file displayed wrong in the PDF generated by Arbortext publishing engine 8.0.0i open the SVG file with the browser and the SVG is correct. but... when i composes the PDF file with the same SVG file, a lot of information that appears in the SVG,  <text> that is not displayed in the browser, IS DISPLAYED IN THE PDF GENERATED BY APE !!!! help!!!!!! 😞attached a screenshot where you can see on the left side the svg displayed in the PDF and in the right side the SVG opened by Chrome .... 😞any idea? thanks a lot! 

I have 200+ topics that were created before we added 3 new metadata fields. Is there a way to batch update Metadata fields in topics?  We use Windchill as our CMS. This would be done using Arbortext.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.3.0Assembling one part with a pin connection to ground. Assembling a second part with a pin connection to the first part. There are no other connections between the two parts. Using a velocity motor the rotate the first part. When running the analysis, the second part rotates as well. It should stay still since there are no connections or forces / motors on it. Why does the second part rotate?

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: I am executing the "AddColumns" command in the Windchill Shell. I am trying to add columns to the "wt.epm.EPMDocument" type. Having run the command already, I can see the following results when I run the command with the "-r" parameter: Total String column count = 0 (Database) **WARNING Total String column count = 0 (AddColumnsSchema.xml) **WARNING Total String column count = 1 (Introspection) **WARNING Total String column count = 1 (Class) **WARNING I have ran "AddColumns -syncFromDB" but still receive the results detailed above. After running this command I would expect the total string column counts for "Introspection" and "Class" to be set to 0. Ultimately, this issue stems from the need to add new columns to this type to allow me to create new local attributes for a new sub-type of "wt.epm.EPMDocument".Description: I am unable to establish how I can restore the total string column counts for "Introspection" and "Class" to "0". Hello everyone,I'm encountering an issue where a boolean property in a Thing is not updating as expected, even though it updates correctly in the associated service. I am using Thingworx 9.4.6 and KEPServerEX 6.15 version.Setup:I have a ThingShape that defines three properties:currentEnergy (Number)energyThreshold (Number)overThreshold(Boolean)The currentEnergy property is mapped to a Kepware tag value using simulation. I can see that currentEnergy updates correctly in the Thing.A service is written in the ThingTemplate. In this service, the logic compares currentEnergy with energyThreshold . If currentEnergy > energyThreshold , the overThreshold property is set to true.Issue:When I click the refresh button in the Thing, the currentEnergy value updates as expected. However, the overThreshold boolean does not update accordingly based on the service logic. Can someone help me identify why the overThreshold value isn’t updating? Hi All, Can anyone please let me know where Windchill Data model diagram is and how will I get to know the database table relationships. Just like we have IDA3MASTERREFERENCE in WTPart to IDA2A2 in WTPARTMASTER. I wish to know which column in one table has a relationship with another column in another table. Hi. I was wondering if anybody can advise. I have received a fresh instance of Windchill. The person who performed the install of the software on the application server did not use a new local "wcadmin" account to complete the install. Instead, the initial admin account used to perform the install was an account from our Enterprise Directory. Our LDAP server is configured to be read-only. Consequently, I have received the new Windchill instance with an inability to create local Windchill accounts - it seems it is now only possible to import users from active directory.  Please can anybody advise how important it is to have at least one account in Windchill that is not an account from active directory that can be used for admin purposes?

Hi,We Thingworx v9.7 in a SaaS environment, and we have a few hundredth things based on different templates, most of these template based on the RemoteThing Base template.I'm working on a specific Thing Shape that will be implemented in a bunch of those things or on the templates. I would like to launch a initialization service from a subscription when the isConnected property from the RemoteThing changes state. The issue is that from the Thing Shape, I can't set the event trigger for the subscription on DataChange for isConnected. Is there a work around possible, or maybe another way to call a service on the thing Shape level, when the connection is restored for the Things where the Thing Shape is used?I guess there is a way to duplicate the RemoteThing base template and add the subscription there, but that would also mean recreating all templates, so I'd like to avoid that solution. Many thanks in advance,H.

Hello Greetings! I have developed a custom endpoint inside custom domain to fetch Documents of WTDocument subtype named "QMS Document" based on three input parameters "Library" "Folder" and "State", However when I try to call this service from Thingworx, unable to utilize "$top"  and $skip" parameters, since I need to allow pagination within Thingworx UI to select range of Documents to be displayed on single page, currently this functionality seems useless as I can see all the Documents fetched for specific folder within the library and cannot filter using range. I have used custom code to query Documents based on search condition for provided three input parameters. Need assistance whether this is possible to add classic OOTB query parameters in custom import.json

Hi everyone,I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.7.0During the replacement of component by an unrelated component, the replace user interface propose to select the corresponding references used in the assembly itself.Does exist a way or a configuration option to detect also the references used in the drawings ?Due to this missing detection, the attaches of the drawing symbols are lost.Gaël

Hi, I'm using a range variable and multiple functions to plot the capacity and demand of a beam system to check for failure.  This works well and as I intend.  The problem arises when I want to find the specific utilization of the member along it's length.  To do this, I wanted to create a vector containing the input lengths instead of a range variable, so that I can perform math on the functions and output a vector.  This way I will have a vector of the members utilization along its length and won't have to manually check separate inputs.  As shown in the image above, the vector "v" works as an input into function "V(v)" but not in the function "Va(v)".  Is this because "Va(v)" is a piecewise function?  Is there a way to evaluate this function using vectors? If there is a trick to getting vectors as inputs to functions, or simply a better way entirely to accomplish the task of creating a single vector with the utilizations as I de

Hello all,I am using the Collection widget in ThingWorx 9.3.3 to display a group of two mashups with different colors to simulate a percentage bar. I have nine simulated percentage bars like this, each separated by different containers in the main mashup.On the main mashup, I am executing a service every 30 seconds using Auto Refresh. The data from this service should set the width of the mashups using the "CellWidthField" property in the Collection. I know that the Auto Refresh is working because I can see the percentage values updating every 30 seconds. However, the width of the mashups does not change accordingly, it only updates when I manually refresh the page. As you can see in the first image, the second percentage bar (which is 100% and red) should fill the entire row like the first one.The second image shows the correct behavior, but only after a manual page refresh. The width of the mashups in the Collection appears as expected after the page is reloaded. My questio

Creo 8:  Well, ain't this peachy.  Got a large assembly in a couple different configurations/Reps (some parts not used in certain Reps), and if you create the dwg view using a Rep, but then change the Rep at the assy level, the BOM will change but the dwg view WILL NOT.  Replacing the Rep for that view, or everything else I tried, DO NOT WORK.  The only thing that worked was DELETING the view, and putting a new General view in it's place. Nice, especially since it's a large assy with a bunch of sheets.  So, my "Pro/WORKAROUND" is to NOT make dwg views until you are 100% sure the Reps won't change.   Must be all that "Enhanced Functionality" PTC keeps crowing about when they waste time giving us confusing new interfaces, but spend zero time fixing bugs...you know, like that "split cylinder" BUG, or the one where threads don't show up in the model except in wireframe viewing mode, or.......   Anyone else run into this issue?
