Back in 2012 I purchased a WF5.0 Student license. Since it is tied to the network adapter of the computer, I assigned it to a USB NIC so I could move to a new computer without requesting a new license file.While that did work for a long time, I recently started having problems with that network adapter disconnecting. (I used to remove it when I wasn’t using it to “protect it” and probably damaged a wire.)As I recall, when I moved the license from the original computer to the USB NIC, there was an email address I need to send my information to.Is that still the method to make this change, or is there another way to accomplish this task?If this is the method, can someone provide me the correct email address?

I need to move a Wild Fire 5.0 Student license to a new hostid. We run FLEXnet on our company license server for Mathcad licenses. Currently on version 12. Our Mathcad license file has both permanent and subscription licenses of Mathcad Prime (and 15) in it. When a user runs Mathcad, the server first assigns a license from the permanent pool. If that pool fills up then it assigns a license from the subscription pool. The problem is when a user receives a license from the permanent pool, the license type shown within their Mathcad software says Home Use when it should say something like Commercial. This results in certain calculations being inaccessible and causing errors in their worksheet. But if a user receives a license from the subscription pool, the license type is shown as Subscription which should be fine.I would like to know why our Mathcad license server is serving us Home Use licenses instead of the commercial licenses we paid for, and how do we fix this?

Hello,Like it says in the title, while placing/replacing a component inside the assembly, the 3D display dragger is not shown despite the fact that the option to show the dragger is selected. Does anyone know what could be the issue. This problem occured when I tried opening the separate component display window.

We are currently planning for WTParts and we are trying to figure out how to manage attributes that are to be governed in SAP.  Our Current WorkflowFinished Goods (End Items) meetings are held to discuss necessary attributes to be entered into SAP   An Administrator fills out a spreadsheet with the required new finished goods. Sometimes there can be dozens of finished goods at once (even hundreds). Hello, I would like to ask if there is any way how to find out in which assemblies is used one particular part. We have a large folder with several similar assemblies. Then there are two versions of similar part, for example. If I open all the assemblies at first, so they are loaded in session memory, I can use reference viewer to find out where is this particular part used. But is there any way how to do this without opening a large number of assemblies? Hope my question is understandable, thanks for replies.

Hi,Would anyone know how to prevent Creo 10 from creating cap surfaces for tapped holes while using the Creo Parametric Hole feature?The surface shown in the image below is not the side wall of the thread but a cap surface at the top of the thread.  This makes you have to query select the hole which is an extra step when assembling parts to the tapped hole at the top-level assembly.Thanks for any help you can provide,Don A  

Is there a way in Creo Parametric to adjust splines with drag handles, like in Solidworks?I am trying to replicate a part from Solidworks, but I cant get the splines to behave just like in the Solidworks part. I’ve noticed that in the Solidworks feature the splines have ben drawn by draging the lines to the desired position.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.1 and Datecode with CPS 13.1.2.6 test This is first post from - Support Assistant - Kindly ingnore.

HiWe have more than 20,000 library parts, out of that 15,000 part successfully moved into windchill library folder .The remaining 5000 parts when I am moving to windchill from local drive, it is showing "CAD Part is not unique".Because of this issue , we were not able to upload the assembly .Windchill implementation team working on this issue last one month but still not able to find the root cause.Note:Those 5000 parts are not present anywhere inside windchill.

Let's say we have 3 different organizations: Apple, Banana and Cucumber.Each organization uses a different EPMDocument type. Apple uses the default "CAD Document" EPMDocument type.Banana has its own type called "Banana CAD Document". This is a subtype of CAD Document.Cucumber has its own type called "Cucumber CAD Document". This is a subtype of CAD Document. When uploading (& checking in) CAD objects from Creo Parametric to Windchill, the correct EPM Document type shall be used when creating the Windchill object. How can I do that?I know that you can do that with the UPLOAD_SOFT_TYPE attribute in Creo. So one easy fix would be to set up templates with this attribute. However, sometimes the engineers don't use these templates (because they forget about it). So are there other ways to ensure that the correct EPM Document type is used?

When going to a part, right mouse click > Compare to Part structure, Compare to CAD structure.I'm missing the expand all button, how and where can i enable this button. Documentation says it should be there, i suspect it's been disabled in the past due to performance considerations. Can anyone confirm:1- Does this window have an expand all button,  Compare to Part structure, Compare to CAD structure.2- Where can i find the config settings to change this? Thanks. 

I want to upload a file in WindChill. They give to us an REST API with the services to do this. They split an upload of file in 3 stages. Stage 1 - We call a service where we give the number of files to upload. In this case only one. Stage 2 - A multipart/formdata where we give the file to upload. Stage 3 - The last stage where we give the file name, the file size etc... I think my problem is on stage 2. All the stages run successfully but when i try to open the uploaded file, in this case a pdf, the file is blank, but with the same number of pages of the original one. I compare the content of the uploaded file with the original one and the content inside is the same with a big difference. The original is with an ANSI encoding while the uploaded one is with the UTF-8 encoding. So, I think my problem is on the stage 2. I'm with some doubts on this stage. In C# I get the bytes[] of file, but in the end I need to pass this bytes to a string to send in a multipart form. Wh

Hello,Yesterday I upgraded from Creo 9.0.8.0 to Creo 12.4.3.0 and noticed an annoyance with the “Open File” and “Assemble Component” commands.The problem is that Creo 12, unlike Creo 9, keeps the last selected setting in the filter “Type”. In Creo 9, however, the default value would be a generic setting (e.g. *.prt, *.asm, .....).My question is: is there a way to restore this behavior so that it works like in Creo 9?I tried searching for a setting in the configuration but couldn't find anything.The only workaround I can think of is to create a set of macros to open and assemble the ones that preset the generic filter (*.prt, *.asm, etc.).Does anyone know of a solution or have noticed the same problem?Thank you

I am trying to create a flushed flange which goes around the boundary of a sheet metal part. When I try doing this with the flushed flange feature I run into a feature failed to regenerate error. I have tried the one by one standard chain, rule based partial loop/complete loop chains but nothing seems to work. Attached is the part I am trying to work on with the 8.4mm flushed flange and the corner cut at the edge Q.
