Hello everyone,   I was wondering about a use case where I need to save image files (in base64 format) from ThingWorx to a network file share path of our company like this:  \\amae.test-universe.com\dummy\USER\testinglink\5000-project\claim Currently, I do this manually using a Python script running locally on my PC, where I'm already authenticated to the network. It works well because my Windows session has access to the share.Now, I’d like to automate this entirely through ThingWorx — ideally by calling a service and saving the file directly to that network path. I know about FileRepository and FileTransferSubsystem, but I understand that ThingWorx cannot directly supply a username and password for UNC paths.So my questions are:Is it possible to write to a network share that requires authentication directly from ThingWorx? Has anyone implemented a similar use case, and if yes, what approach worked best?Any input, advice, or examples would be greatly appr

Hello fellow engineers, Recently I updated from Creo 7.0 to Creo 10.0. I am in the middle of a project so maybe it wasn't a good idea. When re-running a buckling analysis that used to return a BLF of about 2.5 in Creo 7.0, now I get values of about 0.5!  Has anyone noticed this pattern? I believe the new 10.0 version is overconservative, as I have done hand-calculations to verify the buckling mode and the plates are nowhere close to buckle.  I believe the solver must have been updated. The model in question corresponds to a crane with a telescopic boom, where the contact pads (usually solids to allow for contact definition, non-linear analysis) are replaced by a beams (linear analysis). 

HI We have an odd situation.We're using SolidWorks 2023 with Windchill 13.1.In SolidWorks most components have different configurations with different materials and colors.These components are used in different assemblies.When we see the small thumbnails on the Details page for the different component (SolidWorks Part) configurations, we see the correct colors, but when we look at the different assembly configurations using the same part configurations, it's the color from the Default configuration (generic) which are shown.How come we see this change in appearance (color) whether we look at single component or the component in an assembly structure?(Yes, we have rebuilded all configurations, and we have deleted and republished all models). Top row (2 objects) is showing assembly colors.Bottom row (3 objects) is showing correct colors for Head and Tail (1 & 2) and default color (3) 

Hello, I own a student license and I use a desktop to make my school work at home but i do own a laptop that I take to classes due to it's portability, even being worse than my home desktop, I would love to use Mathcad on both but when I try to activate my license on my laptop it says that the maximum number of license requests were made, if I can't use the software on both my desktop and laptop it gets slightly useless, so I would love to solve this issue

Hello everyone,I have one Tree widget containing some items for selection. When I double click on any one of the item, a grid is displayed containing a list of devices that are part of that particular selection.Now I want that this should be possible using single clicked event. But we have only "double clicked" event trigger  available for standard tree widget. One of the way to do this is creating a customized Tree widget, having a single click event trigger instead of double click.But by any way is it possible to find an alternate solution for this that doesn't requires creation of a customized widget??  

Good morning community, I have a general question about how Simulate reports rigid modes when "with rigid mode search" is checked.  I created a simple part with a surface constraint and released 1 DOF (in the Z-direction).  I would expect Simulate to report at least one rigid mode that would show the assembly translating along the Z-direction.  The animation does show this but it doesn't say it is a rigid mode.  Wondering why that is?  Is there a frequency threshold before Simulate reports the mode as rigid?  I released 2 DOF of freedom (in Y and Z) and then it does report rigid modes.  However, when I animate it, there is some rotation of the assembly in the first mode which I would expect only translation.  I attached my assembly file.  

If I try to log into my PTC account in the license activation program for Mathcad Prime 11 I get this message: "the http request was not allowed with client authentication scheme anonymous"I tried logging in from different netwotks, deactivating the firewall and all anti-virus programs as well as setting a new password. With my data I can log into my PTC account at the website, so the data is correct.

Basically we have global iba on ECN and Container and IBA of container having value so now our requirement is we want to copy paste that value on ECN IBA while creating the ECN. I've seen the other solutions, but those get me back to Creo 8 licensing problem, and so they are not actually real helpful. So, I'm asking for direct solutions.

I am having issues with importing a term table .csv file into Creo schematics 7 and unsure where to look or correct on the issue.  The table seems to work fine with 1467 entries and seems to start having issues of not loading and locking up schematics when additional entries are added beyond that.  I am also uncertain if any blank cells have to have an entry of UNSET or if they can be left blank.Is there a limitation on the number of SET columns that can be created. Any advice or suggestions would be helpful.Thank you,Scott

Currently, our order of stopping a windchill through our batch file starts with Windchill Server>Windchill Apache> Windchill SolrServer> Windchill DS. when we run this batch file it takes a pretty long time (around 20+minutes) to stop windchill server. Even when everything stops windchill server will be on stopping mode. I tried re-ordering this in the batch file by stopping Windchill Server after Apache and DS and it took fairly less time (around 2 minutes) to stop. so, my question here is if I reorder the stop pattern will there be any impact in our system? I don't have any problem with Windchill start and I know it must follow the DS and Apache first before windchill server starts but just want a guidance on Windchill stop pattern.

My company makes custom filter equipment for each order. We are experimenting with EBOMs within WC. We would be making new MBOMs for every piece of equipment because no two are the same. Is there a way to Save-As both the EBOM and MBOM at the same time? I know you can Save-As the EBOM but that would require an MBOM to be remade for every single WTPart structure. Is there preference or setting I am missing?

I am developing a UDF for screw threads and ports and need some support understanding whether a certain implementation is possible and how to manage references to make it happen.  Insofar, I have defined UDFs with a coordinate system that every other feature ultimately points to and placed these UDFs using that coordinate system and one placed in the model, or the on-surface coordinate system option. My understanding is that the basest feature(s) appearing in any UDF will be what all the other features ultimately reference.  Ultimately, we would like these UDFs to be placed with reference to an axis the screw goes along and the face the screw extends from. However, I'm struggling to figure out if it's possible to manage references in such a way that those are the reference prompts. I have been experimenting for a while and can't arrange datums in a way that accomplishes this.  More broadly, I've been having some trouble defining UDFs to point to anything B

I define a vector variable X (using a program block) in one part of the MathCad document.The variable is computed correctly and I can access any element Xi later on by the expression Xi :=However when I try to call Xi inside another program block further down, I get "This variable is undefined" error.Would appreciate any suggestions.

I apologize if this has already been asked but didn't seem to find it in a search. I am new to codebeamer, but I can't seem to find a spellchecker built into the software. Where do I find this feature or is it not available? Seems like it should spell check as a person types like most every other software out there.

I can't seem to delete a cable break after placing it. I don't see the "X" that is supposed to represent the cable break in the flat model. Anyone experienced this issue?The only way I have been able to successfully delete it is to delete the entire cable segment.

Hello All, i am seeking Help for SI Deleteproject, i used it sucessfully it deleted , but there is ? in from of the subproject which got deleted, i need to fully remove it from the DB so that in future if same name subproject is created it will not cause any error. can any one provide the work areond to fix this? Not i am admin with app & db server full access. i can run cmd on the DB or app server, pls share your case how the cmd helped you, if you can.

Good afternoon,  I am new to using GD&T advisor, so far as a tool i think it potentially has a lot of benefits. However i am at a stage where i have completed all the GD&T definitions, and now want to add some traditional dimensions, eg. linear dimensions from datums to plane surfaces. When i try it says 'no applicable reference'. I am unsure how i can have traditional dimensions along side GD&T

I am using Creo Parametric 10. I am encountering a similar issue to what is described here: (1) Replace by unrelated component and asm0001 already... - PTC Community. From that, I am able to delete the "asm0001.asm" from my workspace and that allows me to use replace by unrelated component. However, when I try to upload the "replacement" part to Windchill, I get the error "Assembly - asm0001.asm is not unique".  I checked the Reference Viewer in the part, and asm0001.asm is not listed. Where else can I check to break the reference? The part file is a family table, if that matters.
