I'm looking for a Creo expert (paid if needed) to assist me moving all my customizations to a new PC.A back and forth thru this forum/emails is not workable for me. I need someone to connect to the PC then resolve all issues preventing my Creo customizations from working on the new PC. Old PC with working customize files = Creo Direct Modeling 20.7New PC that these customizations do not work on = Creo Direct Modeling release 20.8 Thank you for your help.

Current version: Windchill 12.1 with Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 20.7 When using CED Modeling in combination with Windchill, it is possible to show Windchill attributes in the structure browser through structure browser views. It would be great to have these attributes also shown in the tooltip when hovering over a component (instead of showing the structure browser path of the selected component) in order to have more clarity/information when navigating the viewport.

I went from Creo Elements 20.4 with Workgroup manager 12 to Creo Elements 20.6.2 with workgroup manager 13.0.2.1In the drawing browser, the name of the drawing used to be the Windchill file name, and now it is the Windchill name.Is it possible to change it to the windchill number or file name?I used to use it in a lisp, for example:display (oli::sd-am-inq-drawing-no)But now I get a different value then I used to.Also I can't find how to get the windchill attributes (like PTC_WM_NUMBER) of the drawing in lisp.I tried lot's of things but I can't find it. 

Hello Community, we are facing an issue with Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 20.7 + Annotation connected to Windchill+. When creating a new drawing from a 3D model (e.g. model name TEST) and saving it to the Windchill workspace, the drawing receives the correct Windchill number (e.g. CAD0000403) according to the OIR.However, in CED Annotation the drawing name is not updated – it still shows the original model name (TEST). In the TRACE log we can see that the number (PTC_WM_NUMBER) is correctly transferred from Windchill to Annotation, but the expected macro (Docu_set_drawing_no) is not executed. On another CAD workstation running Modeling 20.6 with Windchill 12.1.2.5 (on-premise) the drawing is renamed correctly, which corresponds to the standard behavior of the CED–Windchill integration. So far we could not identify a configuration difference. We also checked PTC documentation but did not find any known issue related to this behavior. My questions:Has anyon

How can I find the length of the profile when I select?I use this infos the boom list. I would like to add profile lenght.

I'm trying to access the model name and read it in a tree format from Creo ED. Hello I am working on a custom quick acces toolbar in Creo Elements version 20.1.2.0I am making 1 tab that contains all the functions i need on a regular basis. And one that relocates my most used functions to the foreground. I wanted to create named seperators like the standard menu does. But I can only find the boring old line seperator. Is there any way to give my custom split menu a nice looking format like standard? Or is that something that is reserved for the base program? ▼What i've got so far▼ ▼What I want▼ If anyone knows how to do this. I would love to know it. Its not completely neccesary, but it would be a nice clean look to a layout that may be used as a standard within the company. Thanks in advance!

Using Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express 9.0 New to Creo Direct Express and creating first drawings of parts and assemblies. Each time I edit the text on a drawing (title blocks, BOM's etc) a msg is displayed similar to the the one attached.What does this mean? Is there another way I should be editing these items?A second question is when creating the BOM's using the scan, table, draw method, why doesn't the part number populate? Thanks for any feedback

Hello, I have a ME10 macro that selects all geometries from a view and returns the pointer and geometry properties as a list to LISP.The pointer corresponds to the return value of the sd-get-annotator-reference function.To continue working with the elements, I need the sel_items for the pointers. But I can't find an inverse function for sd-get-annotator-reference.So far I have implemented this by using get_selection in LISP to get all sel_items and building a new list in which the pointers are added using sd-get-annotator-reference.I then use this list to add the sel_items to the list returned by ME10. However, the last process is quite slow.Does anyone have an idea how to do this efficiently?BR

Greetings Members As of this week (10/28/25) I am unable to obtain an Activation Key for Express Modeling.  It was working fine the previous week.  Here is a step by step description of what happens:- Click the CE Direct Express icon on my desktop- Obtain the following dialogue, this is normal or at least has been since direct access to the license server stopped working for me in Nov 2023.  Each time I have to reactivate even though I have an account and have been using CE Direct Express for more than 2 years.  Nothing has changed - same laptop, Win 10 OS, etc.- I enter my email address and password, select ‘Activate’ to get this dialogue, also normal.- In my case there is no proxy server, I am merely a PC on the internet.  My internet connection is fast and reliable.  I select the Submit button and obtain this dialogue:- At which point I select ‘Request activation key’.  Normally I would receive an activation key in seconds, paste it into the M

I am new to the PTC Creo Direct Modeling Express 6.0 setup, and downloaded this free single user CAD tool to get started with making 3D objects. I choose the 64-bit version, and installed on my Windows 8.1 machine. After installing, I want to start the program, and it asked me to activate for new users. After registering for an account with PTC, I then attempted to activate, and get the following:Connection failed.For Modeling Express to automatically activate, it requires access to the internet. Please check if a proxy has to be specified, and enter your company's proxy server details so that the activation can proceed.I don't have any proxy settings in my browser, and am on a home network behind a NetGear wireless router. I do have access to the internet, and can't seem to determine why I am getting this message. Has anyone else seen this before? Any idea what I need to do to get PTC to see the internet?

How can i change this values by default, i dont want chanfer and i want this value to be 180 by default and not 120. How can i do it?Creo Elements/Direct 20.2.1.0

We are running v20.6.1 and are unable to get any FEA jobs to run successfully using the Design Advisor module. We opened a support ticket late last year and were directed to the SPR linked below. Design Advisor hangs during Performing Analysis and does not finish the job with special computer environment in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling  To date there does not appear to be a resolution to this issue. The enhancements documents for later releases, including v20.7, do not indicate that this is resolved. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Do you have any workarounds to offer? Thank you for your help

Just wondering if anyone has either gone through the Windows 10 to 11 upgrade while running Express 8.0 to see if it works, or has installed on a Windows 11 PC.Thanks

Hello,   I am using creo elements/direct modeling version 20.6. I have noticed that it's still not possible to open a drawing straight from the model tree. Would it be possible to write a script or custom command to do this? Because now you have to go to the masterdata first and find the drawing there.    Other solutions for this problem are also welcome.   Kind regards. Siebe

Hello,I'm having a problem with PTC Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 20.5.2.0 : Sometimes I loose the little "cross" next to the cursor resulting in me unable to select anything (see attached files). I tried to close the viewport but nothing changed. The only way to get the cross back is to restart Creo. I can't find a way to reproduce consistantly the problem. I get this issue 1-2 per week. I hope someone can help me.Cheers !
