how do you modify imported Kennametal boring bars to work in the simulation section in creo manufacturing. i dont know where to start on how to get tool to work

Hello Everyone,We are using the Advanced Tree widget in our mashup. The same widget works fine in the QA environment but fails in the PROD environment. Could this be related to data loading?In PROD, both the search functionality and the parent-child relationship are failing. Both environments are running on ThingWorx 9.1. Thank you

Hello,I use Inspect geometry/Shadow analysis. But now I need to create an envelope of the shadow when the light direction change. Is there any way how to do it or get the envelope geometry? I know I can dynamically update the shadow when I drag light dimension, but I need to change concurrently 2 or 3 dimensions. I use Creo 12 Thanks for help.Best regardsMichal

This problem has really been frustrating me for quite some time...When I create a drawing and insert a view then select the display style to be "no hidden" it usually hides all the hidden lines no problem.But when I enable a section view that is when a whole world of problems occurs.Certain objects don't seem to obey the hidden lines, and they still show all their lines. Specifically it seems to be quilts or something that is having this problem because it only the objects in pink/purple lines that have the problem. I just find it so strange that this only happens with section views.Anyway, I tried editing the section itself by checking off the "Include quilts" option, but that just removed the components entirely rather than just removing the hidden lines.Someone please help me figure out what is going on here.I've attached a photo of the problem. Hello, I am trying to model a retracting pin which allows a spring loaded mass to drop freely in the z-axis using Creo 8+. However, I keep getting the following error: "3-D contact in model has encountered an error:In a cylinder-cylinder contact, the rectangular contact patch is invalid.This violates contact-patch assumptions related to Hertzian compliant contactcalculations." As far as I can tell, there is no interference in my model, no erroneous material properties, etc.  I have been using dynamic analysis for this, and the pin is removed using a translation servo motor. The mass is constrained in the x & y by two pin constraints. I do not have friction enabled, nor gravity. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated! I have already tried changing the contact to a point-cylinder & decreasing the contact radius of the point. 

Community,   I have imported a complex model that is made up entirely of quilts, and of course, quilts have edges.  After importing the model into Creo 6 and selecting the No Hidden icon, all the lines still show through like a wireframe display.  I cannot display the model online, but no matter what combination of system colors I try, they always show through, even with Black on White.  There is nothing in the layer tree to turn off, it's all quilts.  Has anyone encountered this before, and is there a solution?  Thanks in advance.

How to display all rows in mashup. It displays only 500 rows.Eg :- A mashup grid displays rows from SQL Server, It displays only 500 rows.      2. How to work on access on buttons in mashup.Eg :- A button should visible for only few users. 

I am aware of Fishbowl's MS Teams offering. I was not particularly interested in that type of customization. I was looking at more of user presence and communications. We've done some internal work at simple URL icons to invoke a Team's message to a user. This can be done via a Data Utility to add in a Teams icon and work similar to the email link.  From what I've read, to do anything more advanced, we would need to register an application in Azure, get an ID and use that to make calls via Microsoft Graph API. If I need to pull live information like online status info or a hover over popup, that would need some custom calls. What would be nice would be to have Windchill message users in Teams about events as an alternative to email communication. Its about time. I also see that PTC has the Windchill Office integration where you do the same thing, register it as an application. This means the foundational code is already there. Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: WCA suggests setting wt.queue.executeQueues to "false". Currently it's "true". I see no issues, but both BGMS and MS log show rows related to queues suggesting both 'manage' them which probably is not most efficient. Hi All, I am facing the same issue where I need to restart Worker daemon service manually, every time I re-boot windchill server and office worker server. The current situation is, We do monthly maintenance / backup and some update work. in result we need to restart Windchill services, server and publishing servers like office worker/Creo worker. We have to restart worker daemon service manually, it does not start itself. below is my current setting which shows it is set to automatic start and also /opt/ptc/Windchill_13/Windchill/conf/wvs/agent.ini file shows it autostart. but still we need to start it manually. Our office / Creo worker agent is windows server. out Windchill main server is Linux.   Regards, Khalid shamim    

Hello, I'm not really sure how to label this one, but let me try and elaborate: Has anyone else experienced it where there is a delay/lag spike when trying to left click (select) anything in the graphics windows on Creo 11? Calling it a delay probably isn't correct, but Creo 11 (both versions 11.0.0.0 and 11.0.1.0)  just seems to "miss" some of my mouse inputs. It happens randomly when I'm either trying to add a dimension in a 3D sketch; CTRL select edges or surfaces of a 3D model; and also when trying to move balloons in drawings? Essentially left click/selecting anything on a daily basis will just randomly not respond and I have to click again. I always thought it was just me miss clicking but I'm noticing it more and more, and its not limited to a specific model.I have compared it to Creo 10 and it seems to be primarily in 11. I have tried:- Default PTC config- Different mouse- Multiple models

I activate Mathcad Prime 10, using a License Key supplied by my employer (Wageningen University) where I work as lecturer, but after few days this key doesn't work anymore. When i try to use it again I receive the notification that I achieved the maximum number of licenses.The ICT supplied me other license keys, but the result is always the same: few days and I go back to the express version. Hi Forum,   I have an *.asm assembly in Creo View 6.0, displayed in HLR mode as black and white line drawing. When exporting that view to PDF ("Save Current View as 2D Vector File" -> PDF), most of the lines are missing in the resulting PDF.   If I export a single *.prt part from that *.asm assembly to PDF the same way, all lines are shown perfectly.   Thanks for help on how to export also the *.asm assembly with all lines visible in the resulting PDF.

Hi Guys, Im trying to make a mapkey that makes a new file...with the same name that is currently up on the screen just with a -MFG at the end.  Example. Current file on screen. called N12345-1234.prtI want to make a mapkey that will create a NEW part file. Called N12345-1234-MFG.prt. (or what ever the original part name is on the screen with a -MFG added to it) Is there any place i can copy the current name from?  I tried in a few areas, with a copy / paste but the mapkey just copies the text..so the files are always called the same thing. (No good)  They all come out as N12345-1234-mfg.prt no matter what the original file is called.  Is there a way to use parameters when naming a file? Or anyone know of any other way to grab the current file name? Thanks,Jay

The attached file has two functions.  The top function work but will not allow double quotes in the second column of a text file.  The second function works to do that, and it works well enough.  Was wondering if I could improve it with a TRY... ON ERROR addition?
