When you are trying to install Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager on a Server with multiple network interfaces, it is a more a gamble than a real specified process, whether the installation will succeed or not.

Even when you have succeeded in installing Model Manager on a server with multiple network interfaces you may get wrong answers from the http://<server>:9898/ port, where IP-address is mentioned again.....
In the past the typical server within a CAD installation had one network interface working (simply unhooking the cable) and everything goes fine.
In the meantime you will encounter other configurations:
1.) network interface to the management net
2.) network interface to the production net (e.g. 1GBit)
3.) network interface to the production net (e.g. 10GBit)
4.) network interface via the USB connection to the KVM system used for dealing with problems standing directly in front of the rack.

* When the algorithm within the product selects the wrong interface during the installation, the installation will hang forever because connections to other servers like File Server (may run on the same server or another one) will not work at all.
* If you were successful to install the product, you may see the KVM interface with its IP reported within the port 9898 report of Model Manager Database Server together with some performance penalities as well beacuse Model Manager seems to use the USB connection to the outside world if there is no switch prohibiting this route.
