Cut outs using simplified reps
Hi all,
i have a question concerning simplified reps. I have 2 parts assembled to together, one inside the other, & i want to make a component cutout to leave an impression, to create a mould so to speak. Now the part i want to cutout has a simplified rep, ie certain features that i do not want to appear in the impression, but i need on the part. The problem i am having is making the cutout which the simplified rep active. I set the sim rep by using substitute & this gives me my part minus the features i do not require, but when i make the cutout, those features are visible in the impression. Does sim reps only work at drawing level or can they be used for assembly level cutouts as i have described.
Kind Regards
John
