The PTC Product Management team and PTC/USER is excited to share with small groups of PTC Community members the opportunity to discuss enhancements to PTC products with the formation and participation of a PTC Working Group. How to Participate in a Working Group: In order, to post on the PTC community you must first have an active PTC eSupport account. If you do have PTC Customer Credentials, please sign up for eSupport using "Create a New Customer Account" link at: http://support.ptc.com. Greetings to all Customer Led and Customer Led w/PTC Participation Working Group Leaders! Please find attached the PTC/USER Working Group Monthly Status report form. I am requesting this form to be completed and submitted by the 5th of each month to track progress and participation for the previous month. Please submit a status report for November 2019, by Wednesday December 18, 2019. After which, on January 5th, please submit a report for December activity. Activity-Level Status: 1. Inactive Private group space is created for the Working Group, but no active conversations yet in the community space or in an outside community tool. Or, Working Group period may have ended, and we are waiting on next steps with PTC/USER and PTC Product Mgmt.(Community Membership is blocked always for Inactive Working Groups). 2. Active Private group space is created for the Working Group and there are active conversations. (In some cases, the activity might be outside the community space using another collaboration tool- i.e. Windchill). 3. Closed Private group space is now removed from the community as the Working Group collaboration period on this topic has ended. To Join An Existing Work Group: If you are interested in participating in an available "working group," please make sure you have a PTC Support Account and complete your Community Profile. Then, private message the group leader listed for the working group you are interested in joining. The Group Leader will need the following: Working Group Name Your Name Your Job Title Your Company Name Best Contact Phone Number Experience with PTC's Products / Services Email address (must be a company address, not a Gmail or other private address) You can also click directly on the title of the work group and you will brought to the "Join The Group" page. The "Working Group" Administrator will be in touch with you about your membership request. s
To suggest a working group topic, follow these steps: 1. Contact the Technical Committee Chair related to the Working Group topic for awareness and recommendation. 2. Complete the PTC Community Private Group Request Form (attached to this post) with as much information available. Feel free to schedule a meeting with Myon Caruthers (PTC/USER Working Group Director) /Jaime Lee Bunton (PTC Community MGR) if you need help with the form. 3. Submit the form to @mcaruthers Myon Caruthers for approval. The PTC/USER Director of Working Groups will discuss with PTC Product Management to determine if your topic is a good fit for the "PTC Working Group" program. If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact the PTC Community Manager.
The PTC "Working Group" program is designed to align the voice of the customer with the roadmap and development of the timeline for PTC software enhancements. In this way, PTC can receive early feedback from you, PTC's key stakeholders. We have 3 types of Working Groups: PTC Led, Customer Led, and Customer Led (with PTC Participation). "PTC Led" Working Groups have a PTC Product Manager leading the discussions and will often recruit and manage the group membership directly. These are topics typically very close to the current PTC Product Roadmap. "Customer Led" Working Groups have a community member (customer) in charge of recruiting, keeping the discussions active, and manages the group membership list. The goal of this group is to come up with use cases and possibly a whitepaper for a particular enhancement to provide PTC.
