Hello,I am working on a Creo Toolkit customization that needs to identify features created from a UDF and generate sequences based on the original UDF feature names.As described in CS196043, when a UDF is placed in Creo Parametric, the feature names from the source UDF are not preserved in the resulting model. Because of this behavior, I cannot directly compare the placed feature names with the original UDF feature names.However, in the UDF Placement dialog, under the Options tab, the "Redefine These Features" section displays the original feature names from the source UDF. This information appears to be available somewhere internally within Creo.I reviewed the Creo Toolkit API documentation but could not find an API that provides access to the original UDF feature names.My question is:Is there any Creo Toolkit API that allows access to the original feature names shown in the "Redefine These Features" list? If not directly, is there another supported method to retrieve the mapping betw

I am currently working in Creo View 10.0.0.0 (standalone) and have an active session open with hours of unsaved work on a fairly large assembly in PVZ format (with sections, color coding, visibility states).When trying to save the active view as an Annotation Set, I receive the following error:Save Error: Markup object no longer existsSymptoms: The newly created Annotation Sets appear as black squares in the sidebar instead of regular thumbnails and are not loaded on double click. In Windows file Explorer, the original .pvz does not update. Instead, temporary files like [filename].etb.~1~ are generated, indicating the save process aborts before the container is packed. Using "Save As" for the .pvz to a new folder results in a file where the Annotation Sets are broken in the same way. The same happens when saving a copy as *.pvs. Question: The session is still open and the visual state is intact in my RAM. Is there any known workaround to force-save this current state? In the UI a tracker can be locked by a user for exclusive access, but this is not possible via REST API.Use case:The items of a tracker are modified outside the UI, e.g. to generate a item skeleton. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.10 After configuration of JNDI adapter with corporate AD no user can be found in participant administration. No error can be seen in log files.

Hi there,I tried to create a link in the description of an item: where the URL is a Codebeamer item (e.g. https://test-codebeamer.mycompany.local/cb/issue/69545) then it first looks fine:… but after saving it is destroyed:(Note: from now on the link cannot be edited anymore)What is the issue?

Description:In Codebeamer, although important fields such as Name and Description are configured to appear at the top of the layout, during item editing these fields are displayed at the bottom of the page. hi all,I’m trying to setup a Modbus TCP/IP connection on a thingworx Kepware server 6.18, to an energy meter from Circutor (CVM-E3-MINI-ITF-WiEth, manual can be found here M170F01-03.pdf). I’ve setup connections to other energy meters before using Modbus TCP/IP without issues, but with this device I keep getting unrealistic values.I’ve literally tried using all different combinations on Data access & encoding, but the output I’m seeing seems either extremely high or extremely low, sometimes more or less stable but often also varying a lot which can normal if the byte order was swapped.The manual doesn’t really tell much on the Modbus-TCP setup, like what device-id I need to be using. So far I’ve tested mostly with device-ID 1 which seems most logical in that case, but I’ve used other device-id’s like 2 or 7.I’m hoping anyone has some experience with these types of devices or recognizes this type of behaviour and has some ideas on how to solve it.Many thanks in advance.H.

Hello everyone, First of all, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the authors of Creoson and Creopyson for their work and for everything these tools make possible. We have developed a Python application to automate the export of DRW drawings into various output formats while applying specific file naming conventions.However, we are experiencing significant delays when our application requests Creo to access DRW files. For example, opening a relatively small drawing can sometimes take several minutes. We do not observe these delays when opening the same file directly in Creo.For reference, Creoson, our Python application, and all Creo files are hosted on an internal company server. We are trying to determine the source of these delays. Could they be caused by our Python application, Creoson, Creo itself, or the server/network infrastructure?Is there a way to monitor the communication between Creoson and Creo, enable detailed logging, or use another troubleshooting method to ide

HiI am experiencing a visualization issue in Creo Ansys Simulation. (12.4.2.0)The simulation completes successfully and the result legend/color scale is displayed correctly. However, when viewing the results, the part is displayed as a wireframe and the contour plot (fringe colors) is not shown on the geometry.The issue occurs across all simulation types and result types that I have tested.An interesting observation is that when I start a result animation, the contour colors immediately appear and are displayed correctly during the animation. Once the animation stops, the model returns to the wireframe-only display.Has anyone encountered this behavior before?Thanks 

 This has become a high-priority concern for the business because it limits flexibility in volatile resource and production planning situations. This continues to be a significant challenge for Xylem specific sites, where production planning is driven by daily resource availability and custom/special order demand. Mostly the planning is been done on the basis of the information for the particular day only. However this limitation is impacting negatively in a way as it shows up in dashboard inaccuracies and is limiting Xylem site’s ability to operate effectively within DPM.Very High Impact - As we are not able to use the application for what we expected it to perform and top of it this limitation of advance scheduling is impacting negatively from site performance (OEE) perspective.

The setup is a web-based app (HTML + JavaScript using Pro/Web.Link) that displays a catalog of assembly templates stored in Windchill and allows users to insert them into an active assembly The core problem:When a user selects a template from the catalog, the app needs to do a recursive "Save As" of the entire template hierarchy — renaming every template-owned component to a new order-specific name — before assembling it. I have a few analysis models enabled and running. Up until recently the Analysis jobs were getting executed perfectly at an ideal rate, but recently the issue is persistent. The issue is the jobs are getting submitted in the analysis jobs but the time taken before the execution begins, is roughly around 2 minutes. As a result the queueing is increased with the state of each job as "WAITING". This delayed execution is not ideal for our instance, as we are logging data for every 30 seconds , as the execution is delayed the real time updating of the prediction values is also affected. Is there any way to start the analysis execution as soon as the analysis job is submitted? What might be the reason for the delay in the beginning of the job execution? Hi,I’m using ThingWorx 9.3.0-b20 with Analytics Manager, and I’m facing an issue where analytics jobs stay in “Waiting” state for a long time.This does not happen all the time, but occurs around 3–5 times per day.The jobs only start running after I manually trigger another job (e.g., test an analysis model or create a new job). Once I do that, the waiting jobs immediately execute.Expected: Jobs should start automatically without manual trigger.Actual: Jobs get stuck until another job “wakes them up”.Questions:Is this a known issue in 9.3? Any configuration related to scheduler/queue causing this? Any workaround or fix?Thanks in advance.

Hi,I am using Kepware Server v7.0.236 with FTView v16 on Windows Server 2025 in a Domain setup.  The Kepware Server is installed on the same server as the FTView application.  I have a FTView Client PC (Windows 11 24H2) which runs the FTView client.  The problem is when I run the FTView client on the W11 PC any tags on a graphic which directly address the Kepware server don’t read. I’ve gone through every step of the Kepware “Configuration Guide Remote OPC DA (DCOM)” and had a 2 hour Teams session with Kepware UK Tech support (MAC Solutions) while I’ve had remote desktop connection to the server. We went through the settings on both the Server and Client step by step and confirmed the recommended settings were in place and even uninstalled/reinstalled Kepware but nothing has worked.Anyone had similar issues and found solutions ?

The orientation of CAD representation in the Visualization tab in part structure browser and in Creo view is showing upside - down. while it is showing correct orientation when opening in Creo and also in the thumbnails in windchill. Any solution is available for this ?

I have a subordinate UDF that creates a set of features including an extrusion.  One of the extrusion dimensions is set as a variable dimension in the UDF and has a prompt assigned.   When the UDF is inserted, user is not prompted for the dimension.  instead, the existing value is used.

I’ve been revisiting Mathcad after some time away, and I had a question about functionality that used to exist in older versions.Back when I was using Mathcad 15, I remember being able to plot vector fields (for example, visualizing a 2D vector function with arrows over a grid) fairly directly using the built-in plotting tools.Now that PTC Mathcad Prime has been around for a while and has gone through multiple updates, I’m wondering:Does the current version of Mathcad Prime support vector field plotting natively? If not, is there any recommended or standard workaround within Mathcad Prime (without exporting to other tools)? Has this feature been intentionally removed, or is it something planned for future releases?I’m especially interested in workflows comparable to what was possible in Mathcad 15, where defining a vector-valued function and visualizing it didn’t require too much manual construction.Would appreciate any insights from those who’ve worked with both versions
