I want to explore running model check on save, but do not want the report to show everytime I hit save. I have the details of the report writing to a file so I can review later. What is the setting to do this if there is one?I have tried show_report set to N but that does not seem to work.

Does anyone know of an existing tool or pattern for bidirectional syncing between RV&S and Codebeamer? We have a client planning to move from RV&S to Codebeamer, but not until an upstream team moves from DOORS to Codebeamer. They have a process for syncing between DOORS and RV&S, but once the upstream team moves off DOORS, they will lose their tracing. We need a solution for the gap until we are ready to migrate RV&S.

Hello together,I am currently trying to add a mapkey which adds a enclosure volume feature to existing parts. In addition, it has to add 3 relations to the end of existing relations, but I can not make it work out unfortunately. So if there are for example 5 lines with existing relations, it should add a new relation to a new line 6, insert a parameter, jump into line 7, insert a parameter, jump into line 8 and insert a parameter.Do you have a quick solution for that issue? Thanks in advance!

I am using Creo Simulate Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.10.0 SUBJECT: Creo Simulate: Nonlinear Static Analysis Fails at Pass 1 (Thermal Drift & Contacts) 1. We are moving to WC+ and looking to get our system clean for an easy transition. We aren't looking to archive legacy standard files just yet. More so looking to delete unreleased files floating in job products from years back.Any advice on how to go about a mass cleaning of your WC? We have yet to perform such a large cleanup.

How to Change the OOTB Attribute Display Name? Tried with Type and Attribute Manager by changing the localize master text but it doesn't reflect. Also put a required constraint it doesn't refelct.

I'm working with one of our users who is unable to use the "explode" feature on an assembly. Every time they toggle the "Exploded View" on/ off - CREO just dies & has a fatal error. However, we tried exploding/ unexploding that assembly on 2 different laptops & it worked just fine, so we don't believe its anything with the model. Comparing this machine to the ones that worked, we verified the exact same setup (same version of CREO which was uninstalled & reinstalled 2x, same version of Windows, same GPU, same NVIDIA Driver version, same power/ battery settings, same corporate/ standard config.pro file, brand-new workspaces, etc). Any ideas/ obvious fixes I may have missed?

New Timer and Scheduler things don't seem to start. The custom events never seems to fire and trigger their subscriptions.Even triggerring the scheduler thing from another thing does not seem to fire the event.

I open a part model in Creo 10 and double click on the model, but the dimensions are not displayed. Creo 7 is able to display the dimension on the same part number. I am not sure why and still cannot get it displayed.

Are there any configuration file settings or modeling practices that help improve 3D PDF export performance in Creo 12.4.5? My company is looking to switch from 2D drawings to an annotated 3D PDF, and it works great from individual parts and small assemblies. When trying to export higher level assemblies, especially ones that have multiple PCBs in them, Creo almost always crashes during the export process. We still experience this issue even when heavily simplifying PCB parts. Has anyone else had this issue and were able to mitigate it?

Title: Creo 12.4 University Edition – Access Denied / Missing License PermissionsHello PTC Education Support,I am a Mechanical Systems Engineering student at Hochschule Offenburg, Germany.I installed Creo Parametric 12.4 University Edition, but I cannot obtain a valid academic license. When I access PTC License Management, I receive:"Access Denied – Insufficient Privileges"It appears that my account is missing these permissions: License Management Reporting License Management Licensing My current license file is empty (1 byte), and Creo launches but cannot create new parts because it cannot obtain a valid license.Could you please verify my academic account, grant the required permissions, or explain how I can generate a new University Edition license?Thank you for your help.

Is the CCD Package framework to be used only for the Windchill+ or can it be used also for a Windchill that is hosted on a cloud ?

Hi Community,We are running Windchill RV&S with custom Item Types that support file attachments. A question has come up around what happens when a user deletes an attachment from an item — specifically around recoverability. We have already confirmed with our database team that we are running Oracle DB with point-in-time recovery available and a 14-day backup retention policy with full + incremental + archivelog backups. What we are still unclear on is the application-level storage design. Specifically: Are attachments stored in the Oracle database (as BLOBs), in a filesystem vault, or split across both? When an attachment is deleted from an item, is it a soft delete or hard delete at the application level? Does RV&S run a vault garbage collection job, and if so, how is it configured and how frequently does it typically run? Is there a built-in audit trail in RV&S that logs attachment deletions (user + timestamp)? What is the recommended recovery path if a user accide

Here are some ideas to reduce friction and improve Creo. These suggestions come from my experience using other software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, FreeCAD, Rhino, ParaView, Discovery). Allow users to customise mouse controls for pan, zoom, rotate and selection. My preference would be to use the mouse alone to pan, zoom and rotate, and Ctrl and Shift for selection and window selection, similar to AutoCAD and ParaView. Add a quick command search (Ctrl + Spacebar) so users don't have to spend time navigating the GUI, similar to ParaView. It's faster to type a known command's name than navigate tabs and ribbons. Allow hotkeys to toggle between states. For example, Show/Hide could be assigned a single hotkey (e.g. Spacebar) to toggle the visibility of selected objects in the Model Tree or Graphics Window, like FreeCAD. Allow sketch points to be fixed without defining dimensions, like SolidWorks. Locking only prevents the user from dragging a point, but does not prevent it from moving when

Good Day!I am attempting to assist a customer in deciding which version of Pure Variants they may wish to implement. I admittedly am still learning about Pure Variants, and seem to be tripping slightly. What is the difference between Desktop Client and Web Client? Is there a link or table I can use to help them out?

Hi All,We are facing an issue with OPC UA communication between a Zenon OPC UA Server (Version 11) and Kepware 6.18, where Kepware is configured with the OPC UA Client Driver to communicate with the Zenon system.System Architecture:OPC UA Server: Zenon Version 11 OPC UA Client: Kepware (OPC UA Client Driver) Communication: OPC UA Kepware Device Setting: Exception-Based Subscription ModeIssue Description:When communication between the Zenon system and Kepware is interrupted, the tags in Kepware transition to an Unknown quality state, as expected. However, once communication is restored, the tags briefly transition to Good quality, but the actual tag values do not update. After a few seconds, the tag quality transitions back to Bad.It appears that the OPC UA subscription is not recovering properly after the communication is re-established.Observation:We have tested the same configuration using both communication modes in Kepware:Exception-Based Subscription Mode: Communication interruptio

Hello Community,I'm working on a use case where ThingWorx needs to retrieve serial genealogy/traceability information from an external MES system (Ignition MES) through REST APIs.For a given serial number, I need to access:Component serials and lot numbers Work order/production order detailsI'd like to understand the recommended approach in ThingWorx for:Consuming external REST APIs for genealogy data Modeling and storing genealogy relationshipsHas anyone implemented a similar MES-to-ThingWorx genealogy integration? Any best practices, sample architectures, or extension recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We are using windchill. When i add CAD object in WCN, not submit WCN yet, i dont see any status icon in front of CAD object. In Windchill help document - https://support.ptc.com/help/windchill/r13.1.1.0/en/index.html#page/Windchill_Help_Center/objectoview/ObjectOviewStatusIndicators.html# I see 3 object status icons related to change notices - But i am not able to find Associated to a change object status icon.Anyone have any idea about this and how it works?

Hi Everyone, Any idea how can we bulk associate WTPart to existing CAD document and also define their association type?

Windchill 13.1.4.We’re implementing MPMLink and finding that many of our Creo parts and WTParts are missing visualizations.  When I view the structure of a large Creo assembly, is there an easy way to know if all items have visualizations, other than clicking on each item in the structure to see if something highlights in the visualization?
