Hello,Is there a way to create a symbol from a saved sketch?I have a sketch that I saved as “.sec” file.Then when I go to create a symbol (Define Symbol), there is no option that I could find to import the .sec file to create my symbol.

 the image is related. whenever i try to open the file it shows this blank screen. I’m new to creo student edition and don’t know much. I was previously an onshape user. i had made backups and made sure to save it a couple of times before closing. The random save i did while sketching is visible for some reason but none of my extrusions are visible.i scanned all my pc’s recent files to see if i had accidently saved it somewhere else too but its to no luck. The sketch from the above mentioned case is not fully visible too. 

When I export a PDF, the phantom and hidden lines appear to be the same, but in the Creo drawing, it’s clearly different. The only way I found that will reflect the phantom line geometry is what I did with the line highlighted in yellow. I described how I did it below.Does anyone know how to fix this? I want to use the component display to make the lines phantomopque, and have it reflected when I export a PDF. Yellow - I went to display<Line Style<Modify Lines<PHANTOMFONTBlue - I went to Component Display<PhantomOpqueGreen - Hidden Line Thank you to anyone who can help.

Creo Elements Direct Modeling 20.7.1.0 (English):I can't "snap to" or "catch" an intersection when dimensioning.In this case I would like to dimension from the bottom of a key slot to the top of the shaft at the 12 o'clock position. The only way i have found is to draw a very short vertical geometry line at the point where the center line intersects the diameter line. When I create this line I can snap/catch the intersection of the center line and the diameter line WHY can't I catch the same intersection when dimensioning?Thank you for your help.Tim Higdon

Hello, Right now a supplier is using Creo elements direct modeling latest version and they create annotations drawing files and send .bd2 files to us. I wanted to ask if there was a way for us to open it or convert it without having to turn it into a neutral file? We tried step file but my issue is when it comes to Creo Parametric the models are broken? Is there no direct way to address this? Thank you. 

The attached files are on an old PC that are working with version 20.7.When I copy these files to the new machine (in the same file location) that do not work on the new machine running 20.8. How do I get them to work? Thank you for your help

HiFrom a few days I am unable to access PTC site when I ask to request an activation key, either for version 8.0 or version 9.0 (I installed just yerterday for trying to solve this problem !). Hi,we have this scenario: a notebook HP ZBOOK STUDIO 16 G10 (Microsoft Windows 11 Ent 24H2), a HP THUNDERBOLT DOCK 280W G4 and a monitor PHILIPS 273V5L. We use PTC CREO 20.6.1.  The problem is this: when we open Drawing on the Philips monitor, the program crashes and closes all open programs. I attach the error that the event viewer reports. If we open Drawing on the laptop monitor, the program starts correctly. If I update the Nvidia video card driver, then the problem is solved for a while... Should I reinstall Drawing from scratch? Or should I reinstall Windows entirely? Thank you.Best regards,        

How to change the the numerical of Tolerance in Creo elements directs Drafting (Mixed UI) 20.7I have a issue with creating the tolerance. For example. When I type the tolerance 0.027, it only show 0.03 I tried to find the Tolerance setting box and never see it. Please help me to  change this format. Thank you

I use Creo elements/directs drafting Mixed UI 20.7 on Lenovo LOQ gaming 2024 having RTX 2025 Nvidia When I draw any Geometry (Line, Circle, Point, Rectangle,...), I can not see it on displayI had tried to solve by checking Geometry setting, Viewport -> setting, Setup -> show -> Layer. But all fault. I see that I open Setup -> show -> Layer, change color to White and save. But, when I open again. It is still default with Black. whether is that the cause? What is the way to get ? Or. Who are know the tips to fix it? Thanks

Hi, I am trying to create a new format with titleblock & other model details. When the parameters are added in the title block the same is not updated when model is called in the drawing sheet. Kindy help.ThanksNaresh

I was able to copy this activation key, which is valid for 72 hours, and paste it into the Manual Product Activation window to use it.The first time, I was able to use it for 72 hours without any problems. After 72 hours have passed, I want to use it again, so I do the same thing, but this time a window appears saying that is incorrect and I can't use it. No matter how many new activation keys I receive, each key is always incorrect and a window appears with the message "the key is not correct". Question:Is this 72 hour activation only once per account? ↓↓↓Confirmed↓↓↓"I create a new account, and i get another 72 hours for activation.But it seems so ridiculous to create a new account for every 72 hours activation..."

Hi everyone, I have a question. I have attached a DWG file below. When I open it in AutoCAD, I can see the view and annotations. However, when I open it in Creo, the annotations and drawing view are not showing. Does anyone have a solution for this? What settings and configurations are needed to open a DWG file in Creo?   The DWG file is a 2013 version of AutoCAD.   this is in AutoCad and this is in Creo

Specifically, when attempting to insert a section view while editing a drawing, I receive the following error message: "The selected view belongs to a read-only part or assembly," which prevents me from proceeding with further edits or operations on this view.I have attached a screenshot of the issue (please refer to the attachment) for your reference.I have attempted the following troubleshooting steps, but the problem persists:Verified whether the part is set to read-only mode.Restarted the software and reloaded the drawing.Tried loading different parts, but the issue remains the same.Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue? Creo Elements Direct Express won't open. Get the One Time Activation dialogue box then the proxy server dialogue box, then the request license dialogue box. Get the 72 hour activation code and enter it and it says it is invalid.  Anyone else having this issue??   Thanks,
